Lovely cottage, generous rooms, comfortable bed, great shower, awesome garden. Kitchen contained everything one could need and there was an abundance of firewood for the lovely log burner. Little touches like gorgeous natural toiletries and luxurious linens really enhanced out stay. Perfect.
Kirknewton
Set in Kirknewton, just 16 km from Murrayfield Stadium, Highfield Cottage offers accommodation with free bikes, a garden, a terrace and free WiFi. Featuring free private parking, the lodge is in an area where guests can engage in activities such as hiking, cycling and tennis. Very close to the train station. The cottage is a piece of history. The gardens are so lovely. Make me go back in time. Definitely a place worth to spend the nights. Very good communication with the host, friendly and happy to help. I recommend, you will not regret it.

The property has everything you would want or need as a family. It is completely livable year round. The neighborhood is so peaceful and well connected it feels like a home away from home. You will want for nothing and the extras are a pony, two minature pigs, and a baby sheep. The river is spectacular and the local spots like Laird and Dog are perfect. The 31 bus goes into the city every 30 minutes or so and you don't have to deal with any tourists. The ancient cemetery is moments away and makes you think of the William Wallaces of the world. Living history at its finest.

A very welcoming accommodation. Staff were very helpful before arrival and were able to accommodate our request for an early check-in. The lodges were very peaceful with a beautiful view of the countryside and of course the cows. The bed and pillows were very comfortable and the water pressure was great. Some cute arrival treats in the room were a lovely surprise.
Location was perfect to visiting Edinburgh, Stirling and Falkirk. Views from the hot tub are fantasic and the space and layout of lodge are well suited to a family.
Didn’t have breakfast but they left yoghurts and other small bits in fridge. The facility’s were great. Cute wee lodges. Very tidy and would definitely book again since it was so close and a nice get away from Edinburgh.
The property was clean and comfortable. There was a gated entrance onto the property (very secure) and private entrance to the lodges. The owner left milk in the fridge, tea/coffee/sugar, as well as a bag of crisps and gummy sweets. Very thoughtful, especially after I had such a nightmare and this was an unexpected stay. So glad I got to experience these lodges.
We loved the site the lodges were on as each felt very private. The lodges were very clean and warm and the beds were very comfortable, it was great having the full kitchen to also use if needed as there were supermarkets to get food as close as a 5 minute drive. The lodges (ours was a studio lodge) were actually bigger than what we thought! The children's facilities were super, the play area inside and outside was fantastic and also very clean. The swimming pool and sauna and steam room were lovely also and kept the children entertained
The Lodges are amazing, immaculate and have everything you'd need for a short stay. It had a fridge which I wasn't expecting. We paid to have breakfast brought to the room in the morning, it was delicious. The location is beautiful, so quiet and peaceful.

Lovely owners, great location, good value for money compared to other lodge prices nowadays. Lovely interior, especially the dining area. Stunning views and I personally love that the lodges are on a livery yard as I enjoyed having horses right outside. Fantastic jacuzzi and sauna, fitted 6 adults easily.
