I walked in after 10 hours of driving and within 15 minutes I had a double margarita in my hands, listening to jazz music and looking out at the beautiful Ecuadorian countryside. One hour later, I had a great pizza and slept like a baby for 10 hours. Magical.

Absolutely loved it here, it was fairly empty when I went and had the dorm to myself, it was a beautiful wooded cabin with lots of space the room was extremely comfortable, the pillow was my favourite, super comfortable unlike any other in Ecuador, haven't slept that well! All the staff and owners were extremely friendly. The common space was very nice and cozy.

The hosts were super welcoming and looked after us very well during our stay. The lodge is very quiet and located on an island with only Kichwa communities and forests around, making staying here a very calm and authentic experience. The food is delicious, and the tours very interesting. The pacing of the tours was perfect, the tubing down the river was one of the most fun things to do, as well as learning about the Kichwa traditions and way of life, local agriculture, and the wildlife. As a plus, the hosts do a lot to help the Kichwa communities that live on the island.
