Cradle Mountain Highlanders offers secluded cabins on the edge of Cradle Mountain National Park. It provides convenient, self-catering facilities and is a 5-minute drive from the park’s entrance.

Each of the unique cabins at Cradle Mountain Highlanders has cosy interiors, including a fireplace. All cabins are lined with beautiful Tasmanian timber and most cabins have full kitchen facilities. Some units have a luxurious spa bath and mountain views. Very clean, well furnished rustic cabins - perfect for our needs.

Located in Maydena, Maydena Mountain Cabins offers accommodation with a balcony or a patio, free WiFi and flat-screen TV, as well as barbecue facilities.

The air-conditioned units have a fully equipped kitchen with dining area and an oven. There is also a microwave, toaster and a kettle.

Located just 50 metres from the Tasman Sea, Saltwater - Absolute Oceanfront, Hot Tubs, Sauna, Fire Pits is set in Falmouth, 7-minutes' drive from Four Mile Creek. Iron House Brewery is 10-minutes' drive away. Free private parking is available on site. Convenient location could see the beach from the villa only a short walk. Villa was exceptionally clean and spacious! Will be back again

The retreat offers a 3-bedroom lodge and a separate cottage. The lodge features a fully equipped kitchen and a lounge area with an open fireplace. Relax on your private deck overlooking the bay, complete with BBQ facilities. The en suite bathroom has a free standing bathtub. The Studio was tastefully furnished, quiet and peaceful and set in beautiful surroundings. Great place to stay to explore wonderful Bruny Island. Loved watching the wallabies playing while soaking in the copper bath (through the one way window!)

The Shingles Riverside Cottages are only a 3-minute drive from New Norfolk town centre. Hobart city centre is just a 35-minute drive away. Nice breakfast provisions, toast, cereal and milk. Beautiful view of the river with patio space to enjoy it. Too bad I’m not a fisher or I would’ve liked to try fishing there. Nice little TV and DVD selection, framed photographic art in room. Comfy room and clean spacious a bathroom.

Oyster Cove Chalet offers spacious guest accommodation, situated on 6 acres of lovely bushland and gardens. All rooms feature a private patio, each with barbecue facilities.

Each room at Oyster Cove Chalet Tasmania features heating and air conditioning. All kitchenettes include an electric frying pan, electric steamer, toaster and tea/coffee making facilities. it was very quiet and though close to amenities felt a million miles from anywhere

Built in the 1870s, The Corinda Collection offers self-contained cottages and hotel style rooms. Set in lovely gardens, the property offers a 24-hour front desk and free parking.

Laundry facilities and a full kitchen with a microwave and refrigerator are standard in all cottages. We stayed in the servants quarters, perfect for our family with three young kids (be mindful that there are stairs). They had provided a box of duplo which kept the kids entertained all evening. Wonderfully restored and super-comfy beds. Lovely bathroom with nice bathtub for an evening soak. Breakfast was quite pricey but so-so good and totally worth it. Lovely gardens, lovely old house. Would like to come back another time.

Set on 10 acres of lovely gardens, a hot tub and free Wi-Fi. The bath with river and forest view is amazing. Very good location and smart design. The facility is very thoughtful. Feel like staying at home.

With garden views, River Run Lodge is set in Strathblane and has a restaurant, a shared kitchen, bar, garden and barbecue.

The lodge offers a business centre, free WiFi access, laundry service and free private parking. Very nice spacious property with gorgeous views, clean rooms, clean facilities, loads of options to pass the time.

Whispering Spirit Holiday Cottages & Mini Ponies is located in Franklin and offers valley and mountain views, as well as secluded gardens.

Hobart is 35 km from Whispering Spirit Holiday Cottages & Mini Ponies, while Margate is 23 km from the property. The nearest airport is Hobart International Airport, 49 km from the property. Everything. Lovely cosy fire (going when we arrived and easy to keep going the whole time we stayed), lovely clean strawbale house (very cosy and homely), wildlife, provisions provided, friendly host, availability of lovely homemade produce. We could easily have just whiled away a week without leaving the property.
