Lake Weyba Noosa Lodge & Kangaroos

Peregian Beach

Boasting a garden, a terrace, and barbecue facilities, Lake Weyba Noosa Lodge & Kangaroos provides accommodation in Peregian Beach with free WiFi and garden views. Featuring free private parking, the lodge is in an area where guests can engage in activities such as golfing, fishing and canoeing. Everything. Cottage is sweet & includes everything you need & more. We made the most of the golf clubs & course right at the door. We enjoyed the lawn bowls we found inside, & the kayaks down at the lake - which is only a few minutes walk from the cottage. We kayaked on the shallow, warm lake for both sunset & sunrise & times in between - even those of us less inclined towards water sports had fun with it. Kangaroos everywhere. We also made use of the bbq on the deck with the big outdoor setting for dinner. Owner was friendly & popped in with updates as relevant, as well as to welcome us & introduce himself.

Noah Creek Eco Huts

Cape Tribulation

Noah Creek Eco Huts is a small family business that offer exclusive eco-friendly lodges and glamping accommodation in the heart of the Noah Creek Rainforest Reserve, the largest private World Heritage rainforest in the Daintree Cape Tribulation area. We loved the location in the forest, although a little close to the main road, but that was not too bad at night when it was time to go to sleep. We stayed in the Ochre Hut and this was just fabulous, better than all expectations, loved it, had everything you need for the perfect glamping retreat. We also saw the resident Cassowary, she was very big and very lovely indeed. Sat around our own private fire every evening and at night we slept very very well, comfortable bed and all the night time forest calls were just magic.

Guests can enjoy rainforest walks onsite and play on the full-size tennis court. The self-contained cottages feature private BBQ facilities. If you like peace and quiet - and kookaburras -it is a very special place to stay. The provided breakfast (to cook) was excellent as long as you like a cooked breakfast; some fresh fruit would be nice for those who do not.

It is 25 minutes’ drive from The Brisbane Cricket Ground (The Gabba), and 30 minutes’ drive from Brisbane City Centre. The owner Sue was exceptional, and aided our personal issues in her stride.
