The self contained accommodation offers free transfers from airport, train and bus stations on request. Absolutely wonderful stay at Saltbush. We were greeted by a lovely, friendly man (his name escapes me) who gave us a great recommendation for a butcher so we could get some steaks for dinner. The entire place is cozy and rustic. We didn’t use the baths but they looked so cool! Rooms were spacious, our cabin looked out onto some grass with kangaroos grazing, which was a delight for our 9 month old. It had everything we needed, including wine glasses, I only wish we’d bought a bottle from them! Highly recommend, we had a lovely little stay :)

Cottage is sweet & includes everything you need & more. We made the most of the golf clubs & course right at the door. We enjoyed the lawn bowls we found inside, & the kayaks down at the lake - which is only a few minutes walk from the cottage. We kayaked on the shallow, warm lake for both sunset & sunrise & times in between - even those of us less inclined towards water sports had fun with it. Kangaroos everywhere. We also made use of the bbq on the deck with the big outdoor setting for dinner. Owner was friendly & popped in with updates as relevant, as well as to welcome us & introduce himself.

The cabin is comfortable and clean, and there is all you may need. We enjoyed the fireplace and bbq facilties very much. Laundry is also very well equipped. The host also provides detailed information about the fauna you may see around as well as detailed instructions about how to use the available services. Definitely a place to go when in Airlie Beach.

On arrival we were greeted with a cockatoo saying hello! Then we got to spend some time around their very friendly birds. They even took us out on a night walk to see some musky rat kangaroos. Simply a great all round experience. Definitely worth staying the night in Kuranda just for this.

From the moment we got to the property , we were greeted by the owners who were lovely and very helpful. Hut itself was clean tidy with an awesome outside shower. Communal kitchen is set by the creek with some great views.

Fresh milk, coffee machine, spa bath, robes in the cupboard, TV with streaming available, BBQ, electric stove, toaster, and a beautiful cooked breakfast waiting to go in the fridge and a little antipasto array as well as a bottle of champagne. So good.
