Adventure Bay
The retreat offers a 3-bedroom lodge and a separate cottage. The lodge features a fully equipped kitchen and a lounge area with an open fireplace. Relax on your private deck overlooking the bay, complete with BBQ facilities. The en suite bathroom has a free standing bathtub. We stayed in the cottage with spa bath in June 2023. This place exceed our expectations and was in fact the high point of our 9 day trip in Australia. The cottage was on a large property on Bruny Island and was surrounded by flat bushland with a stream, and with a forest on two sides. The cottage itself was very comfortable - an open plan concept with sleeping, living, kitchen and bathroom areas. There was a working fireplace which we used. There was a separate woodshed with pre-cut pieces of wood in case we needed more than what was already in the cottage. The wallabies - so many of them - made the stay even more memorable for us as we love animals. If we didn't startle them, they would come up to the patio just in front of us. Sitting on the patio with a cider in hand watching the wallabies was magical.
South Bruny
Situated in South Bruny in the Bruny Island region, Mures Cloudy Bay Retreat has a patio and sea views. This beachfront property offers access to a balcony and free private parking.
Towels and bed linen are available in the lodge.
The lodge offers a barbecue. A terrace is available on site and hiking can be enjoyed within close proximity of Mures Cloudy Bay Retreat.
The house is beautiful and very clean with the most amazing view. It has everything you might need including wood in order to light a fire. The host was very friendly and explained everything we needed to know. The kitchen had everything we could imagine needing. Overall we had an amazing stay.

Gorgeous private Lodge spacious but so warm and homely. Duvets on the bed were amazing and very clean apart from the windows.
The lodge was in a beautiful secluded setting complete with wildlife at your doorstep. We spotted the rare albino wallabies every day. The facilities and views were great. Our host Liz emailed lots of information and even left us a bottle of wine for a special birthday we were celebrating!
The owner sent us a lot of helpful info well before so we arrived 'prepared'. A lot of thought & care has gone into The Lodge. It was a fabulous place & location & very well appointed
The view is fantastic - unblocked sea view. The room is clean and spacious. The location is very central. It is convenient to everywhere on the island. The bistro served excellent food with very reasonable price and choice. The general store nearby is also very convenient. The free wifi is a surprise! Very happy with The Lodge.
Lodges were excellent, short stroll to hotel for dinner
Great spot, well set up. Whilst set just a little back behind the Hotel, the Lodge cabins are new and so well designed and fitted out and still had a view of the bay and sky. Two minute stroll to the Hotel for dinner overlooking the water, to the general store next door for coffee and breakfast, to the water for a swim. Short drive to the Neck for sunset and fairy penguins, and next day to Bruny Lighthouse.

The location and view were amazing. Lodge No 1 was the higher set one in the row and it was lovely and quiet and private. There was a large flatscreen tv which was a bonus. The bed was very comfy too.
It's a spacious self contained lodge which is kept private from other lodges or cabins and just amongst the bush and the wild life. It's just beautiful to be in the middle of the nature and nothing else around it. It was nice to be greeted by Mr and Mrs Duck every morning 🦆
Safari tent was fantastic. Had everything we needed.
