Ideal for nature-lovers looking for a self-sufficient getaway, lodges are fully furnished and self-catered. Usually made of wood and surrounded by forests or mountains, lodges can be part of a group or a single unit. More remote than holiday homes, lodges are popular for safari trips.
Not a thing about the lodge was likable. There was no breakfast. There was no available to the office or the lobby. The manager was not there to check us in, instead there was a note that referred us to one of the guest rooms where a male in dirty clothing checked us in. The shower from the room above our room leaked into our shower, there was black mole on the ceiling in the shower, therefore we were unable to shower during our stay at the lodge.
