Highly recommended dwelling spot for tourists who are eager to be acquainted with the more authentic part of Gothenburg. This area (Majorna) isn't excessively touristic and you get more of a genuine "feel" of the Gothenburg atmosphere vis-a-vis where several other lodging spots closer to Avenyn and The Central Station are located.
The location is extremely central, very close to everything of value in Gothenburg such as Liseberg, Gothia Towers and Svenska Mässan. This lodging residence provides preeminent value for tourists as well as other types of dwellers such as business people and construction workers etc, i.e all sorts of people albeit primarily oriented towards fellows on a somewhat restrained budget.
Torpet Mon is a very lovely place! Charming old wooden house, nicely furnished. The owners are very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was delicious. Everything here is done with love like heating the fireplace in the breakfast room, wildflowers on the table, decoration in the rooms, etc. The location is just perfect for a city trip that doesn't feel like one.
Very comfortable beds. Though duvet too thick for me. Everything very basic. Think Travelodge. Simple but functional. There are wine glasses in the room which is a nice touch. Great selection at breakfast. Fantastic bread. 12 noon check out as it should be. Brilliant. Staff friendly. Clean all over. Just above the train station so very short walk to trains.
