Set on the banks of the Zambezi River, Caprivi River Lodge offers accommodation in Katima Mulilo. Stores and amenities are available in Katima Mulilo, 2.3 km away.

Caprivi River Lodge also includes an outdoor pool. Guests can enjoy the on-site restaurant, with packed lunches available on request.

Very relaxed and laid back place right on the river. Garden grounds with lots of bird life right out the door. The management of the property is now Caprivi Adventures tour company, so previous issues with management probably don’t apply. As they are part of a tour company, it’s easy to arrange activities. I had two exceptional birding outings on the river with Riian during my stay.

Very peaceful location, and great to arrive at the lodge by boat along the Zambezi River. The car was left at the camp, and when we picked it up, it had been washed. Staff were amazing and the guide for the river trips certainly knew about not only the wildlife along the river, but also the cultural life of the local tribes. Good food in the restaurant.

Even though we arrived late at the lodge, the staff was accommodating and even served us dinner out of hours.

Very nice and calm location, 30 km outside the city. The owner of the lodge was very friendly. The staff was incredibly nice and very helpful as they helped us organise our activities. The rooms were very comfortable and had a beautiful view as well. I highly recommend!

Very beautifully situated lodge on the Zambezi: well-kept grounds, beautiful garden, nice, courteous service. Boat trips on the river are offered (thanks to Daniel!). We stayed there for three nights and relaxed well, feeling very comfortable (with delicious dinners).

The Lodge is a bit outside of Katima Mulilo, but right on the riverside. The room was spacious and the attached kitchen was sufficiently equipped. Big shower and separate toilet. So the cottages have all the basics you need. Albertina was great, she was all alone on the next day, nobody at the reception and a gardener helping her in the kitchen. WiFi was okay, but not very strong. Car parking is not a problem, the area is pretty big. Just about 200m walk to the river from our cottage, but no chairs there to enjoy the view.

We were badly delayed in arrival to the place, but the staff were kindly waiting for us overtime. They arranged us a river safari to see hippos and crocodiles, as well as a safari to the Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe. Everything worked great!

This was a pure but comfortable camping experience . The sleep had in this lodge was out of this world as it is a serene place and we had the river view. The sunset was breathtaking and so lovely to watch. The service is also amazing. We truly enjoyed our stay . We wished we had booked more days but unfortunately for us we had to leave Namibia. But I will highly recommend this lodge .

The stay was perfectly pleasant but at the price there are several lodges in the vicinity that offer more. We had the impression that everything was rather scaled back because of Covid and the lack of visitors. Meals were quite basic and the cruise on the Zambezi was unremarkable.
