Ideal for nature-lovers looking for a self-sufficient getaway, lodges are fully furnished and self-catered. Usually made of wood and surrounded by forests or mountains, lodges can be part of a group or a single unit. More remote than holiday homes, lodges are popular for safari trips.
Really lovely lodge with very nice surrounding views. Hot tub was nice addition to our stay! Very nice and welcoming hosts, would definitely recommend.
I used to live in Penarth, so know the area well. Little Lodge is a five/ten minute drive to Penarth Promenade, the cliff walk and various sea front restaurants/bars.
On this occasion I travelled with my dog Stan.
Nick the owner was very welcoming and helped me navigate the TV remotes.
The venue was perfect for post covid recovery as the lodges have privacy, and a unique view in the trees that you can sit and immerse yourself in. Deeply therapeutic and a huge blessing that I could bring my miniature dachshund who loved the flat location and sitting on the outside balcony with me too. Easy gentle walks on the grounds too.
Ty Mynydd Lodge was a lovely property. The bedroom though not large was cosy & adequate for a nights stay. The room was nicely decorated & the host had left some little extras like welsh cakes & bottles of water. There were also two dressing gowns available for our use. There was a larger than average bathroom, which was very nice with a shower over a corner bath & plenty of units.
The host was a lovely lady, who was very helpful.
The breakfast was excellent & the service very good.
I would certainly stay there again.
I will surely recommend this hotel.
We lodge there for 3 nights to celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary and the service was excellent. The staff were so friendly, professionals, very kind and helpful. We were give a gift to celebrate our anniversary. Lastly the WI-FI was the best ever. Thank you all for the nice customer services, you guys should be proud and keep the good work up.
The stay at the Ty Mynydd Lodge was very nice. We arrived only late in the evening but Lisa welcomed us very warmly, and prepared a great breakfast for the morning. The room was clean and nice. The Lodge is easily reachable from Cardiff Central Station by train (Cardiff to Radyr, about 20minutes).
Picked this hotel due to its location for Motorpoint Arena. Friendly staff on arrival. Paid £10 for early check-in. Really clean and fresh room felt newly decorated. Bathroom was imaculate and very clean. Very pleasant stay and very good value £37 loved the way the room was set up using minimal amount of space. Beats Cardiff's Travelodges for cleanliness and comfort.
I loved that they gave you a whole jar of Tea bags ,it was cheaper than a travelodge or premier Inn and a lot better . The beds were extremely comfortable. It was spotless and the temperature was perfect . Usually I find Travelodges too hot . Good parking
