Bellevue Guest Lodge, hotel in Southbroom

Bellevue Guest Lodge, a property with a garden, is situated in Southbroom, 3.2 km from Southbroom Golf Club, 6.5 km from Mbumbazi Nature Reserve, as well as 25 km from Umtamvuna Nature Reserve.

My booking at Bellevue Guest Lodge absolutely worked for me. I wanted somewhere quiet, comfortable, safe — and suitable for easy access to the little nearby towns. And that I could return to, to read and write. It worked out perfectly. Everything I needed was there and my feeling was that thoughtfulness had gone into setting things up for guests. And while I didn't spend much time in the park the proprietors have set up adjoining the guest lodge, with all kinds of activities for children forged from wood, made by "him", a carpenter, and gardens done by "her", a keen gardener and educator, it was a really lovely extension to the lodge that I'm sure some people would appreciate and make good use of it. A special place.

San Lameer Resort is an absolute gem.

San Lameer Resort is an absolute gem. Please do not hesitate to book either in the villas or hotel. Be mindful that some of the villas may be dated but it is still value for money. Be that as it may I will recommend San Lameer resort and Villas. The people in Southbroom are very friendly there are a lot of eating places nearby with lovely curio shops to buy handmade gifts etc. The hotel rates are also reasonable. Southbroom is next door to Ramsgate so do visit the area. There are lots of shops and places of interest there. Make sure you visit waffle house in Ramsgate. By the way San lameer hotel has a gym and sauna. The gym is outsourced so it will cost you R100 a day. It’s a nice quiet gym though. San Lameer resort is absolutely peaceful.

The area was very secure. Room was super clean and neatly done, daily room service. Activities inside the facility were amazing, unfortunately we couldn’t get to them all but next time. Such a beautiful place. Definitely enjoyed ourselves so much.

I loved the quiet, peaceful atmosphere.

I loved the quiet, peaceful atmosphere. Shops were conveniently close. It was in a central area and there were lots of activities around. I also found some of the best beaches I have ever seen. They were well kept, safe and tranquil. I was able to go swimming even at later times and the tidal pools were fantastic. My favorite beach was the Southbroom Main Beach.

San Lameer was beautiful. Unit 2012 was evrything you can ask for. The villa was clean, neat and well stocked with evrything you need from the bedroom to kitchen. Evrything worked from appliances to wifi n the aircon. Unit is ideally loacated, walking distance to hotel, pools and shop. Our host Julie was the best.. Her service was par excellence from booking to checkout.helped us with whateva we needed on our stay. Will definitly be going to unit 2012 from now on for our holidays. 10/10 for us.

We loved this place. Great location. Nicely appointed house. Plenty of rooms. Comfy living room. Nice kitchen. Washer/dryer. We really appreciated that the property was pet friendly. The house is walled on all sides, so we were able to allow our two little dogs to roam around the yard. Loved the pizza oven and the hot tub. Great TV and entertainment options (very useful for when the weather isn't cooperating).

They size of our Villa was much larger than expected, which was a great surprise. My fiancé and I booked a Villa for our first holiday with just the 2 of us. The facilities were absolutely beautiful and so inviting. The staff are exceptionally friendly and the food at the hotel restaurant was simply exquisite and great value for money. Our first holiday alone together was absolutely incredible at San Lameer.

Breakfast was good. Room was clean however some lights didn't work like the toilet light. Temperature of the shower was difficult to mix. The service room was outside my hotel room and the staff made so much of noise especially in the morning which was really annoying. But restaurant and other staff were pleasant and welcoming. Thank you.

It's a beautiful, homey self catering unit with everything you need to make a lovely breakfast or any meal. Coffee, tea, sugar and rusks was supplied which we did not expect. There was so much care taken, everything exceeded our expectations. The host was extremely friendly and helpful. We will be going back.

There are lots of activities, walking paths, bike trail and sports and nice picnic spots. Access to the beach is easy and there's a lovely restaurant right on the main beach. The country club definitely provides better value for money than the hotel restaurant.
