We had an amazing stay! the Lamia is at an extremely nice location near Ninh Binh.
The Family was super supportive and took care of us. You can rent a scooter/bike too explore the area. We had an amazing massage in the mountain. They also offer relatively cheap transfers to Hanoi and Ha Long.

Location, size of room, comfort, price and the helpfulness and friendliness of the staff. The Reception/Concierge young man was always at hand to say hello during breakfast, to chat, to help you out with tours or transfers. He organised our Hanoi Airport SUV private transfer (VND1.2million, payable to the Hotel on settlement of Hotel account) to this Tam Coc Hotel (took just over 2 hours). Car was good and driver very good - he was waiting for us in the Arrivals Hall of the Airport with our names on a sign. Hotel guy (Phuc?) also organised a private taxi to drive us around Tam Coc & Ninh Binh the following day for about 7 hours for VND 800,000. Service was great. Just steps outside the Hotel are a number of food vendors well rated, laundry priced VND30,000/kg and just a couple of minutes further on are the restaurants and bars. Tam Coc Boats are also only 2 minute walk away and across the road from the Hotel is Sunset Bar on the water front which is a laid back popular bar for backpackers and those that enjoy a relaxed atmosphere without disco music.

We have travelled widely in different parts of the world and have stayed in some great places. Nothing compares with the warmth, kindness and generosity we enjoyed at the Hang Mua Eco Garden. Nothing was too much trouble for our hosts, Luc and Ngoan! Every service, every small favour, every meal was provided with courtesy, concern for our needs and genuine friendliness. We didn’t feel “hosted” by Luc and Ngoan: by the end of our stay, we felt that we had been ADOPTED! If we’re lucky enough to return to Vietnam one day, we will unhesitatingly stay at the Hang Mua Eco Garden again.

We were told at the ticket booth that trip number 1 required...
We were told at the ticket booth that trip number 1 required some climbing which is not recommend for older visitor. Whereas. trip number 2 and 3 highly recommend for older visitor. Each trip cost 250000VND which rowing around for couple hours and going through a few cave. Personally, it is over price

Is this the boat ride. Something positive - it was great going through one cave on a sampan, for over 2km, then a tunnel of 400m and visitng a few temples. The scenery was outstanding. Go on tour 3, reviews and staff to whom I spoke to, all said it was by far the best out of the 3 options.

Fantastic set up - my tip is paddle!! help out the ladies who are doing all the work - dont be a princess and help!! Such an awesome part of Vietnam, we stayed right in Tam Coc and it was our favourite place in Vietnam.

It opens at 6.15am, go early ie before to avoid queues which can get up to two hours when it’s busy. I was expecting a small operation but this is a major tourist attraction current price Jan 2023 259 vnd per person.

This is the most beautiful scenic boat trip.
This is the most beautiful scenic boat trip.
When going on the Trang An boat trip please do tip the lady rowing your boat.
These women wait in line around 1 week for their turn and are only paid around $10 after waiting in line a week to take trip.
They are hard working It is not a easy job rowing x4 people around the river for 2 hours.
Working under such conditions your tip will mean a lot to these women and goes directly to a local person and their family.
