My local friend described it as something out of a Wes Anderson movie, and I could see that. The pool area and adjacent rooms and bar definitely, as well as the mini golf, had that feel. While I would describe my room as a single with King, it had a name on it to indicate it was a Admiral Suite. People were very helpful, and everything was fine. Not new or fancy but functional, clean, and comfy.

This place was exceptionally clean, beautifully appointed and very quiet. The staff went out of their way to let me check in 2 hours early and although they were trying to do me a big favor by putting me in a ground floor room closest to the back door for ease of letting my dogs out, I asked for a handicap room after knee surgery and the one I got was not. The low toilet was murder on my knee and no handrails in the shower was scary getting in and out. I managed despite this though and I loved they had hot breakfast in the morning with no added expense. They served scrambled eggs, bacon and sausage links which are my faves in the morning. Everyone in this small town were incredibly nice and friendly.
