The Mest Hotel is exceptional. From the moment we arrived we were made to feel very welcome. The fabric of the building is beautiful and the location superb, with a stroll through the spice market and the bosphorus just the other side. We even saw a pod of dolphins!
The staff are amazing, especially Fatih who was so helpful and kind. I have travelled extensively and never before at breakfast have I been asked what our plans for the day were and was there anything he could help with! I went on to ask a hundred questions! The house keeping ladies are charming too, always smiling.
The breakfast is served in a very smart dining room on the top floor with wonderful views over Istanbul. The choice was amazing! With everything so fresh and beautifully presented. Can't wait to return.

Location was really good, it was very clean and safe.

Location at its best. Great place for layover in Istanbul (IST airport). Very close to Havaist 12 bus stop to/from airport. Very close to T1 tram stop that takes you to Sultanahmet area or Galata bridge.

We have been staying in this hotel for three years. We are completely satisfied with the service. The staff is very friendly, and the room and breakfast are in line with the price. The location is great, just 5 minutes from the Bosphorus and Galata Bridge, and very close to other sights to visit. Beautiful and stylish hotel in the center of Istanbul - cosy rooms and comfy beds. Close to the important mosques, the harbour, galata bridge and located in the middle of the many bazaars. The hotel building is amazing for its design. Many people stop in front of it to take pictures. The location in the old town of Istambul is fantastic. You can walk to all the outstanding places to see, such as Hagia Sophia, the Blue Mosque, Topkapi Palace, The Cistern, the Grand Bazaar, Spice Bazaar, Galata Bridge over the Golden Horn, Ferries Terminal and so on. The restaurant at the Hotel entrance is quite traditional and has a very nice atmosphere.
The location is perfect, 5 min walk to Galata Tower and 10 min walk to Galata Bridge train station. The room was very clean and well isolated form the noise of the street. The breakfast was perfect for the price and the view from the terrce was amazing. The staff was very friendly, they helped us with everything: parking, trasport in the city, some recommendations. We will surely comme back. Thank you!
Excellent location.Few minutes walk from Halic station,close to Galata bridge etc.Also while close to city center,feels like in very local neightborhood with many cay places,restaurants,shisha places.
Lovely and super helpful staff, gave loads of travel recommendations and even offered me a lovely Turkish coffee in the morning before I left to explore each day. Great location just a 4 minute walk from the M1 tram and walking distance from galata bridge. Bed super comfy with great pillows. Room looked exactly as advertised, nice touches with free water and snacks/juice as a welcome gift
Our room was amazing. Very big. Very Turkish. Lovely jacuzzi bath. The hotel situated approx 10 mins from the key mosques, basilica cistern and not far from the grand bazaar and bustling river area by the Galata bridge.
Breakfast was good with plenty of choice plus things to order, like omelette, pancakes, etc. Front desk was really helpful with directions and sorting out taxi to the airport.
They have a spa area but we did not have time to use it.
We loved our time here.

Highly recommend exploring the different neighborhoods by foot. We walked down to the ferries from our hotel and then hopped on a ferry over to another part of Istanbul (Üsküdar), Then walked around there, had lunch and then took another ferry to a different location (Käbatas). After exploring around there, we took a taxi to Ïstiklal street. We meandered down to Taksïm Square for people watching and then walked all the way to Galata Tower. We finished by walking across the Galata bridge and back through the Sultanahmet area back to our hotel, after stopping at a rooftop restaurant for dinner first.

I advice try to avoid the fish restaurants under the Galata Bridge as they can trap you very easy
People can go to any restaurant, but before the order they must confirm the menu price. I found Asia side is not only cheap but you can get good quality restaurants. I advice try to avoid the fish restaurants under the Galata Bridge as they can trap you very easy.
