We had an excellent stay at this hotel! The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Upon our arrival, the receptionist immediately came to assist us with our luggage, which was greatly appreciated. The breakfast was delicious, with a variety of options, and the staff were quick to refill anything we needed.
We enjoyed having breakfast on the terrace, which offered a stunning view of the sea and the Blue Mosque. The terrace was also a lovely spot in the afternoons, where the staff would kindly serve us Turkish tea and nuts.
When they learned that my husband was unwell, they thoughtfully brought him free soup in the evening, which was a kind and much-appreciated gesture. The rooms were cleaned daily, and complimentary bottled water was always available.
We stayed in a 4-bed room with a double bed and a bunk bed, both of which were quite comfortable. While the room didn’t have windows, it had excellent ventilation, and the air felt fresh throughout our stay.
After we checked out, they kindly kept our luggage for us, and when we returned at 6 PM to pick it up, they invited us to wait on the terrace until our taxi arrived.
Well located in the centre of Istanbul, HaciBayramHotel provides air-conditioned rooms, a garden, free WiFi and a shared lounge. This 3-star hotel offers a terrace.

Blue Mosque
Constructed between 1609 and 1616, the striking Sultan Ahmed Mosque – or ‘Blue Mosque’ – is still a place of worship today. With no war victories to fund it, this opulent structure had to be paid for straight from the treasury – angering the Ottoman legal scholars of the time! Non-Muslim visitors are encouraged to visit, but should be respectful of the strict dress code.

One of the most sought after architectural wonders.
One of the most sought after architectural wonders. It’s free. But dress appropriately. No bare shoulders, no bare knees and women need a scarf to cover their heads. Best to go prepared but you will also need given disposable covers at the entrance.

There are many many well dressed VERY friendly and helpful men willing to show you around, avoid them, do not talk to them! They are all trying to sell you something. They can get aggressive if you engage them and the try to leave, best to avoid them and keep walking.

As a Lego enthusiast, my visit to the Blue Mosque in...
As a Lego enthusiast, my visit to the Blue Mosque in Istanbul was an experience filled with admiration and inspiration. The architectural grandeur and intricate design of the mosque immediately sparked ideas of how such a masterpiece could be recreated in Lego form.
The Blue Mosque, with its cascading domes and six slender minarets, presents a fascinating challenge from a Lego-building perspective. The symmetry and balance in its design, a hallmark of Islamic architecture, would require careful planning and a keen eye for detail to replicate using Lego bricks. The mosque's exterior, characterized by its harmonious proportions and majestic curves, would be an exciting and rewarding project to undertake, demanding the use of various shapes and sizes of Lego pieces.
Inside, the mosque's vast interior, dominated by the large central dome, is adorned with thousands of blue Iznik tiles. Capturing the essence of this intricate tile work in Lego would be a remarkable feat. The play of light through the 260 stained glass windows, which adds a dynamic element to the mosque's interior, could be imaginatively recreated using translucent Lego pieces to simulate the effect of light filtering through.
Moreover, the challenge of recreating the spiritual and serene ambiance of the mosque in a Lego model is intriguing. While Lego is often seen as a playful medium, it also offers immense potential for creating models that evoke a sense of reverence and peace, much like the atmosphere inside the Blue Mosque.
In essence, the Blue Mosque, as a subject for a Lego model, offers a rich blend of architectural complexity, historical depth, and artistic beauty. It stands as a testament to the creative possibilities that Lego offers to builders who are passionate about capturing the essence of the world's architectural wonders in brick form.

Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination...
Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. This is the first time I entered inside Blue Mosque. It was 28 July 2023, Friday, we went inside Blue mosque before Jummah Prayer. We performed Jummah prayer and felt very blessed.

I stayed at this hotel during a layover in Istanbul, and it was an excellent choice! The staff were incredibly welcoming and attentive, making my short stay very pleasant. The hotel itself was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. Its central location is a major highlight, as it’s within walking distance of many attractions, including the iconic Blue Mosque. I’d definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Istanbul, whether for a short layover or a longer trip.
We stayed there as a family (with two kids). The hotel was in a great location, 5 minute walk from Haggia Sofia and Blue mosque, Kapala bazaar, tram. The staff was very friendly and super helpful, also very efficient. They arranged taxy to pick us up from the airport. Very prompt communication via email and WhatsApp, I felt very at ease. Breakfast was wonderful, large selection of different food for every taste.
Very beautiful and clean hotel, giving vintage vibes! The staff was very courteous and helpful, made our stay very comfortable.

Our stay in this hotel was superb, the location is in the heart of the old city center right after the Blue Mosque. Room was spacious and clean. The breakfast was something to look forward to every morning with traditional Turkish food like olives but also with something new every day. Enjoying the fantastic food and a glass of traditional çay from the roof top terrace giving panoramic view of Blue Mosque and the Sea was a great way to start a day in Istanbul.
From the whole trip to Istanbul, our hotel was by far the best choice. Just 5 minutes away from Hagia Sophia, Top Kapi, and Blue Mosque. Very safe, very clean, nice decoration, warm room, very good breakfast till 10:30 and on top of all these? the people here are some of the nicest and kindest people we met. They were truly helpful with everything we asked for. We recommend it to everyone, and we will definitely come again when we visit Istanbul!! Thank you!!!
The property was nice and clean. Very convenient location and walking distance from the Blue Mosque. Apart from all that the staff was very friendly. I arrived early morning to Turkey and I spoke to Melisa at the reception asking for a last minute early checkin. She was very responsive and promptly helped us to not only with an early checkin but a free of charge room upgrade. Would visit Istanbul again and definitely recommend this hotel.
My 2nd time staying at this hotel in Istanbul. Daniel and his team are very welcoming. The location is superb and the facilities great.
Just a few mins walk to Hagia Sophia and Blue Mosque.
When I first arrived at Royal Tophane hotel, Berat greeted me warmly and also introduced the things to do in Istanbul, such as the locations of the different historical buildings and the transport to get to Blue Mosque, he is not only professional but also full of passion of his work! Truely appreciated his attitude and a compliment to Royal Tophane Hotel and himself!
We visited Istanbul as a Family for the weekend. The Location of this hotel was fantastic. Literally walking distance to Hagia Sofia and Blue Mosque. There is a tram stop (Gulhane) just outside the hotel which takes you to Eminonu (for pier, Spice Bazaar) and Karakoy ( for Galata Tower). There are several restaurants and shops walking distance to the Hotel. Breakfast was also good. Rooms were very clean. Staff were helpful and friendly. Serkan, the manager, also assisted us with airport transfer. Overall, will definately recommend.
