Very well restored. There are still some works going on in the Bratislava castle I think though but it doesn't hinder the experience.
There are two main castles: Bratislava Castle which was under renovation during my visit, but it is over a hill allowing you to have a perfect view of the city and the Danube. The other is Devin Castle 10 Km North Bratislava and is accessible via bus or boat but I advise a boat to enjoy the beauty of the Danube.
