This was a lovely freestanding house in an agricultural area just 5 minutes from the beautiful town on Vadstena. The house had a well-equipped kitchen and was very comfortable for families with kids with multiple bunk beds. There are many good restaurants in the area. You can bring your own linens and towels or rent them for $10 or 100 swedish kroner per guest. You can clean the place yourself (easy) or pay a cleaning fee. It is extremely quiet and peaceful and the owner lives just down the road and is very helpful.

Location was amazing as we parked our car and didn’t need to move it until we left, after our 2-day stay. Everything was in walking distance, even a supermarket. Castle just across the park.
Excellent kitchen and comfortable dining area. Air conditioning was appreciated and ample supply of toilet paper. Bed was comfy. High quality furnishings.
We stayed in the small castle villa right next to the Vadstena castle and absolutely loved it. Really unique hotel, fantastic historic buildings and great meals.
The hotel is situated right opposite Vadstena castle with a magnificient view. We were upgraded to a superior room, all of which a decorated according to themes. Ours was maritime, which fitted us pretty well. the superior rooms all have their own private entrance and a little terrace. We were surprised by the town of Vadstena with its rich history and lovely situated at the lake Vättern.
