Best Western and hotel, hotel in Stockholm

Best Western and hotel offers modern and compact accommodation in central Stockholm. The hotel has a fitness centre with a sauna, while food and refreshments are offered at the restaurant and bar.

When I booked this hotel I didn't realise I booked a small room with no window, three levels below street level. I just went for the cheapest room. But I can't complain. The room was clean, the bed was very comfortable, it was very quiet. It had everything you need: iron, TV, kettle (which I discovered on the last day as it was in a drawer under the bed), hair dryer. The breakfast was very good. The staff in the restaurant, reception and the bar were all very friendly. And of course the hotel is right in the centre of Stockholm, which saves you on extra travelling.

The personnel was super nice, friendly and helpful while the place was ultra-clean and had everything one can ask for. The location was perfect, in the center but not amidst the fuss around the central station and the Drottninggatan, while they were both at a few-minute-walking distance.

A Natural Beauty

Modern Stockholm is uniquely made up of 30% waterways and another 30% of parks and green spaces. It’s spread across 14 islands and is both one of the world’s cleanest and most charming capitals.

Stockholm’s famously huge number of museums includes the Naturhistoriska riksmuseet, the Moderna Museet and the Spritmuseum. City Hall hosts the famous Nobel Prize banquet and the Vasamuseet hosts the 300 year old Vasa warship.

The city’s past can be felt in Gamla Stan – Stockholm’s stunning Old Town with medieval layout, cobblestone streets and the Baroque-style Royal Palace. Designer Swedish clothes and interior decorations abound in the many unique stores throughout the city.

Stockholm is a beautiful city with a lot of attractions and I didn't have enough time. I will make sure to return. I visited the national museum, Nobel Centre, Waldemarsudde and took a boat tour in the archipelago. Public transport is super easy and affordable (ferries, trams, buses and metro). Food is outstanding and really affordable. I absolutely loved my dinner at Operakaelleren - a beautiful place, outstanding service and amazing food. An experience that will be a wonderful memory - a real treat!

    The Vasa museum is great.

The Vasa museum is great. The Viking museum less so, but interesting. Had to do the ABBA museum, all easily accessible via the 80 commuter ferry. As anticipated, eating and drinking out is quite expensive. Wondering around the old town is delightful, the main city is OK. The main central station is confusing, it is on 4 levels. Each level serving a set of lines. Get your line and track numbers sorted.

The hotel was in a great location, just a few minutes to Odenplan station and then you take the train one stop to get to Stockholm City. The staff were very friendly on arrival and had upgraded us to a superior room. I work for a well known Hotel chain and know the importance of staff and guest relationships,I found that a lovely touch- Thankyou. They were very knowledgeable and printed out information for us and helped us with train times for our very early departure at 5am, back to the airport. The hotel was very clean and inviting and our room was just what we needed. Great choice for breakfast, they had everything uou could ask for and catered for all dietary requests. There is a handy supermarket next door that is open 7am-11pm. We would definately recommend this hotel and would love to return in the future. One word of advice, make sure you take a coat and sn umbrella as we got caught out numerous times 😄 Vasa museum, Abba museum and the Royal Palace all ‘musts’ they are a small bus/tram ride out of the centre.

We arrived by boat through the archipelago so didn’t go on an archipelago trip but would have done so if not. We enjoyed the Royal Palace and changing of the guard (12.15), the Viking Museum, Stradhuset tower gave fab views over the city (take the lift for the first part), ABBA Museum, Cathedral, burial church. Underground was easy to use and not expensive (k26 for seniors and you can hop on and off for 75 mins for same ticket. Buses also good but you can’t buy two tickets on the bus with one card. We should have got a travel pass for two days. If going by underground to the airport get the pink line commuter train to Marsta and then the bus to Arlanda (much cheaper than the pink line direct to the airport.) We had a nice meal at Cafe Tranan - ask for meatballs although not on the menu. Unless you like noise eat downstairs near the bar!

A lovely hotel which isn't too big and welcomes guests warmly. Overall we were happy, however when our coffee machine in the room was broken, it took a while to replace, only to not be replaced at all. The restaurant and breakfast are great, except no one told us there was an entire buffet, we were just told order one thing from the menu each on our first day. A nice hotel but not 5 star.
