We found the location of the hotel great and convenient as it was closer to the Remarkables skifield than if we drove from Queenstown. We were close to the local shops (in walking distance) and nice cafes and restaurants. Not as many as in Queenstown but enough for us. The hotel has its own nice cafe downstairs.
Not being directly in Qtown didn’t bother us at all. it was about 15 mins drive from the hotel but we only went twice during our stay.
The room had a lovely view to the mountain, it was spacious and well furnished with all we needed, even the washing mashing and the dryer.
