It is worth visiting town centre, Parque Fundidora, and eat "cabrito" in the various restaurants available.

Monterrey is a beautiful city with lots of things to see and do in and around the city. The Macroplaza is the cultural center of the city and there are many restaurants, museums, shops, and locals walking around the area. The Antigua area is across from the Macroplaza and there is the old part of the city with the Monterrey Cathedral and lots of shops and restaurants as well. On Saturday and Sunday the Antigua area has a few very good local flea markets. Also, Monterrey has a great subway system called the Metrorrey and its really easy to use and a very cheap way to get around this great city! I highly recommend Monterrey for any tourists who want to get some great Mexican food and culture that is only a 45 minute flight from Houston and a 3hour bus ride from the border. VIVA MONTERREY!

Monterrey is a very large industrial city with horrible traffic. Pollution is bad, and its not really a nice place to walk around. Yes, it has museums, and soccer stadiums, nice restaurants, like most cities with 6-8 million people, but unless you love crowded places I consider this a place to work, not to visit,

City is growing and there was a lot of complaints about trafic but we did not had any issue with it. The city offered good amenities like Luztopia, shoping, and had the 2 college football semifinals. We did like our stay.

Monterrey has incredible places to do trecking, or activities in nature. It has great restaurants, and nice views. A very local taqueria (24 hours service) is "Las Delicias", you have to try it!!!
Very good option in San Pedro, rooms have kitchen and a small living room. It is quite pricy, especially compared to similar options in central Monterrey, but all San Pedro is very expensive. There is a free parking. I stayed two days, the first day the breakfast was OK, the second morning it was really good. Nothing to really complain about.
This hotel was great, especially for the price which was less than US$100 right in the center of the city and included parking. The location was right in the Zona Rosa and next to the Barrio Antiguo. It was comfortable and clean. We would certainly come back here next time we're in Monterrey.
It was a clean, nice hotel. Located near many fun things to do in town. There were a few that could speak English to help me when my friend was not around. The attached restaurant was the best part, the included breakfast was delicious and the best "free" breakfast I've had at a hotel.

The location is excellent; the hotel is well-connected to the city (barely 10 min from the Monterrey bus station), shopping centres, convenience stores, restaurants, pharmacies, etc. There's a small restaurant in the hotel where you can buy meals for an additional fee.
BEST LOCATION FOR US. WE HAVE BEEN STAYING IN THIS HOTEL, EVEN WHEN IT WAS A BEST WESTERN. WE HAVE SEEN MANY NEW PERSONAL THROUGH OUT THE LAST TWENTY YEARS, OR MORE. WE LOVE THAT LOCATION BECAUSE IT'S IN THE MIDDLE OF ALL OF OUR MANY FAMILIES AND PARENTS.
Overall, hotel is worn. Minimum maintenance is being performed, and it shows. Carpets, wall covers, all is faded. Staff is alert and well trained and responsive, but that does not substitute for basic maintenance and renewals when needed.
Location ... nearest hotel in Monterrey along the route to the border. The room was simple but adequate and reasonably clean and comfortable plus the TV offered CNN in English, a big plus for poor Spanish speakers.
The location was perfect and the staff were friendly but the best part is that you can ask for a late check out even if you want to leave the hotel at 8pm they will only require you to pay the equivalent
I liked the location, it is absolutely perfect. The Macroplaza is right there as well as the Morelos St. Also the decoration of the hotel and the room was pretty comfortable.
New facility, nice rooms, small coffee pot in our room,very clean, nice bedding helpful staff. This is the best hotel I have stayed in in Mexico! Wonderful experience!
