Two waiters in particular were excellent - Miladin and Mitar. They were friendly, helpful and often very amusing. They bent over backwards for us on every occasion and made us feel very welcome.
The hotel was in a stunning location on the square and in the middle of everything. The rooms were spacious and well appointed. They were very clean.

This is a beautiful boutique hotel, right at the heart of Old Kotor. The staff were, from the very beginning of the booking, really friendly and helpful.
It's not exactly easy to find, but the more you explore the town you realise it's actually quite hard to miss! It sounds odd but trust me, you'll see what I mean.
Our room was beautiful and looked over the little square. At night there was music from the bars next door but it didn't keep us awake. We knew to expect this from reading other reviews, so maybe take earplugs if you're sensitive to people enjoying a drink after 10pm.
Breakfast was lovely, everything you need to set you up for a good explore of the town and maybe a walk up to the fortress.
The free parking for the hotel was a great bonus. Just a 5 minute walk from the hotel.
I would really recommend Hotel Monte Cristo and its terrific staff.

We liked everything about this hotel - the staff, the view, the facilities and the location etc. It is clear that attention to detail is very important to the staff and they go out of their way to make sure that your stay is enjoyable. The hotel is pristine and well maintained every day! We loved the heated outdoor pool, private beach area, spa (which the staff would book out privately for each guest).
Despite being a bit more expensive that the other hotels in the area that we looked it, it is definitely worth it and we would stay there again in a heartbeat!

The hotel itself was great. Very new and built to a very good spec. Great security features, comfortable furnishings and all amenities were fab.
The location is UNREAL. The views of the bay are unrivalled, if you want the views? Pick this hotel.
The staff are some of the best I have ever encountered at a hotel. Catered to everything you could possibly want or need, looked after you at every moment and even on our minimoon, they organised prosecco, rose petals and muffins! Nikola - you are a credit to the hotel, thank you for everything!
The pool is cold but great, there's a few seats around the pool and on the rooftop if wanted, and the hotel also provide towels if you want to take some to the beach.
It's just under an hour walk to Kotor old town, or a 10 ISH minute taxi, depending on traffic.
I truly cannot recommend this hotel enough, thank you for making our minimoon so special!
