Fantastic little campsite in the middle of the Sri Lankan bush, only accessible by 4WD. Head in here and feel the serenity. With just the two tents it's a small, perfectly-formed operation run by the wonderful host Nero, who not only looks after your every need but whips up amazing meals in his little camp kitchen, served on a table under the stars, with a bonfire to complete the magic. In the morning Nero took us on a safari in the nearby Yala National Park, which was magical at sunrise. Highly recommended.

This is such a special place to stay! We saw loads of wildlife around the property and out on the Safari. We booked two jungle family rooms for our family of 4 and they were spacious, clean and comfortable. The food was decent, drinks were yummy, and the service was great. They don't play music at the pool or restaurants and so you become attuned to all of the nature sounds around you. It's a wonderful place and great value!
"Yakaduru Yala is located on the buffer Zone of Yala National Park. It’s Just 5 minutes away from the Yala National Park Entrance.

Yakaduru is a beautiful place with many sustainable features. The Yakaduru restaurant is great to visit. We explored the chena in the village side of Yala, where we saw tree houses that offered an amazing view of the Yala area. We also enjoyed drinking tea from coconut shell cups, a unique and sustainable experience. The people we met were very friendly, and even though they couldn't understand us, they communicated well through expressions and with the help of our guide. It was a wonderful experience meeting such friendly people in Sri Lanka. The rooms at Yakaduru Lodge are comfortable and cool, with clay walls and palm leaf roofs. We also visited the beach and had a great time.

We visited Yala for two days (with two separate game drives - one evening and one morning one) and although we enjoyed the animals we observed, we did not have any sightings of leopards despite being the national park with the highest concentration in the world. But that is nature so we were just unlucky on those days. However, the most disappointing aspect of Yala was the sheer number of vehicles allowed into the park at one time. As soon as elephants or leopards are sighted, drivers communicate among themselves and vehicles all rush to the scene creating a massive traffic jams. This makes it feel very mass market and doesn’t seem very respectful of the wildlife

Terrible time. No wild animals as expected.
Terrible time. No wild animals as expected. Roads are all around the jungle which is pretty disturbing to the wild life. After all it is supposed to be a protected zone for wild life. Jeeps are crawling every corner of the territory. Amused to see all of that disturbing scenes in a wild life protected zone. It's like business zone. Poor animals.

I loved Yala.
I loved Yala. The number of different animals seen was slightly disappointing but apparently wash outs due to rain prevented us from accessing some internal roads. The sunrise and scenery were stunning. I would rate it as good value despite the lack of animals. The whole experience was wonderful.

The national park in Yala is beautiful however it is hard to drive around as the roads are poorly maintained. There is a large populatin of birds and i think this safari would suit bird watchers more than those who want to see the elephants. The 6am -6pm safari is too long.
Sigiriya is far superior when it comes to large herds of elephants.

The hike in the nature reserve was amazing, we saw lots of amazing animals and landscapes.
Were lucky and we were able to meet the tiger as well.
It is important to note that the trip should take drinks and food, the hotel staff where we were did not tell us the length of the trip and did not make sure to let us know that we should take care of ourselves.
Of course we were smarter and brought with us the necessary equipment ..
But there were those next to us who did not and that was unfortunate

We stayed at Laya Beach resort which was very beautiful and was very close to our safari's which made our stay even better.
The beach, however, was too rough to swim which was a little disappointing.
The staff was fantastic. Always around for any small need. The location, admittedly far from the city, while the food is provided by the hotel, also prepares breakfast to take away when you go on safari. Dinners were really delicious. The pumpkin soup was a pleasant surprise for me. Insanely delicious.
The pool provided solace after a day's safari. The water clean and warm.
Plus, close to the gate to the national park, which is not the main entrance, ensuring no unnecessary traffic and queues to enter.
Absolutely recommend!
My stay at Leopard Nest Yala Glamping was exceptional. The staff welcomed me warmly and made me feel at home from the start. The tents were luxurious, offering stunning views and all the comforts one could ask for. What impressed me most was their dedication to sustainability and wildlife conservation. The guided safari through Yala National Park was unforgettable, especially seeing a leopard in its natural habitat. I highly recommend Leopard Nest Yala Glamping for anyone seeking a memorable adventure in Sri Lanka.
We had a fantastic time at Mahoora Tented Safari Camp Yala. The atmosphere at camp was great and our tent deserved the title “glamping” in every sense of the word as they were more luxurious than most hotels all while being in the middle of nature. The safari experience with senior naturalist Asela was incredible as well. Asela guided us to the best spots at Yala National Park and explained everything in great detail with his outstanding wealth of knowledge. We would come back anytime!
Udar awas an excellent host who took an interest in us and did everything he could to make our stay memorable. He took us to a local beach and showed us around. He also accompanied us as a guide on our Yala safari day after making all the arrangement for it. Breakfast and dinner were very good and more than enough. On the early start safari day, breakfast was packed for us to eat later. Very good wifi and the house is spacious and comfortable.
Amazing service, giving the best effort to make an unique experience.
Despite camping, the rooms seems like a good hotel with large comfortable room.
We stayed one night only, 2 could have been better for the safari and enjoy more the hotel.
It was during our honeymoon and they made sure everything was pretty special.
Special attention from food and beverage manager who seemed to be running the whole place, making sure everything worked out
We stayed at Yakaduru Lodge and had an amazing time. The lodge is close to Yala National Park, which was great for our morning safari. We saw lots of wild animals like leopards, elephants, and monkeys.
Room was made with natural materials to keep it nice and cool inside. We loved the traditional Sri Lankan food they served, book the BBQ under the stars. This is basic luxury in heaven
The tents were super comfortable and clean. The atmosphere was so nice, pitch dark at night with fireflies all around. There are peacocks, all kinds of birds, cows, dogs in the hotel perimeter, kids enjoyed a lot. Dinner (bbq) and breakfast was good and filling. It is approx 25 min away from Yala National park entrance, so it is convenient.
This hotel is equipped with shampoo, shower gel, refrigerator, air conditioner and swimming pool.
The staffs are very friendly and helpful, They took me to see the nearby beach and the temple built in the rocks for free.very thankful.
This place is close to the gate of Yala National Park, the staffs can pack breakfast for you.
Boutique safari style hotel, reminiscent of an expensive African lodge. Quiet location on the edge of rice paddies with only 8 guest rooms. Fantastic pool and bar area. Large rooms and bed. Nothing too much trouble for the staff, they were all very eager to please.
A stunning property with only a few guests.
Such a wonderful experience! When we arrived, Nishanta was so welcoming and showed us the bufferzone of Yala national park. We spotted crocodiles and learned a lot about the local farmers. The other staff is also very lovely and the food was very good. We really enjoyed our stay thanks to them!
We had a wonderful stay at the Yala in the middle of the jungle. The room was beautiful and the location was just great. The breakfast each morning was really good as well and we could each eat on our own schedule. We would certainly stay there again next time we are in Sri Lanka.
Amazing gem by Yala NP. We had the privilege of staying there two nights... But wish it could've been longer. Loved the dogs on the property and glad to see they are well taken care of. Staff were super helpful and kind. Also the cocktails are among the best I've had
The rooms were very clean, spacious and cooling. The hotel staff were so so friendly from the moment we set foot. There were animals around to spot and that was a delight for us. Great place to stay in while visiting Yala National Park
Exceptional experience at O2 Villas Yala! So beautiful, private and peaceful. Amazing staff! So accommodating and truly went the extra mile. Lovely pool and views! A monkey even came to visit on the balcony. What an experience!
Amazing two days at Jetwing Yala. Such a beautiful property right on the beach. The pool with a pool bar was the highlight of our stay. The hotel is on the beach so there's the option to go for a swim in the ocean.
Friendly staff, pristine rooms! This hotel near the national park sets the bar high with its attentive team and spotless accommodations. It's the perfect basecamp for your outdoor adventures...
This was my second visit. Wanted to add an extra room and they were very accommodating. Didn’t get any food this time coz we only stayed for one night before our yala safari.
Such a different room (or I should say tent) style, eveything was as expected from a 5 star hotel. Stayed 1 night, breakfast & dinner options and taste were really good.
The rooms and location were amazing. The staff was friendly and was a great overall experience. A must visit place just to experience luxury living amidst the jungle.
