The host was lovely and a wonderful cook, the Japanese breakfast set us up for the day. The accommodation was traditional Japanese, homely, comfortable and very clean. The Jack Russel dog was brilliant surprise and really cool.

We greatly enjoyed our stay in Yorozuya. It was a once-in-a-lifetime experience, staying in a traditional Ryokan. The hot spring baths were amazing, the staff was incredibly hospitable and friendly, everything was clean and the rooms were set up in traditional style with tatami mats. One of the highlights is definitely the food: this was AMAZING, with spectacular dishes all beautifully presented and with wonderful flavours and tastes. We greatly enjoyed our stay here and would not hesitate to come back again if we ever visit Japan again in the future: Yorozuya is highly recommended and was the highlight of our trip to Japan!

It was very calm, clean. The bath was very relaxing. The internet works very well. Food is good. The owners were very helpful and nice to us. They picked us up from the station, brought to Snow Monkey park and also cooked vegetables for our 2 years old and gave a gift as a memory.

The staff at the Omodaka could not have been more helpful. The room was great, spacious and clean and comfortable. The facilities, including an Onsen, were fabulous but it was the attitude of the staff that made our stay such a great experience. We were collected from Yudanaka station and given a lift to the start of the Snow Monkey trail.
We also had dinner at the Hotel, which was another great experience and also great value.
I booked at 3:30PM for the same evening and called to ask if I could still join dinner. I could and am very grateful! It was super delicious, with a endless variety of dishes. The hotel itself is very cosy, with comfortable, clean and spacious Japanese-style rooms (six or seven I believe), while having two onsen baths! The couple that own/run the hotel, are most friendly and fabulous cooks. The hotel is just a 5 minute walk down the road from Yudanaka Station in a quiet street.
Location was really convenient, just 500 meter from Yudanaka station. We book a room with breakfast set, and it was amazing food. The host is really friendly and helpful. It is a traditional Japanese house with on site onsen, separated between women and men with cypress wood delightful aroma filling the just right temperature water of onsen.
Hotel staff service was superb. We requested pickup at Yudanaka station due to large group and the hotel staff replied promptly and showed up on time.
Only A few of them could speak good english.
They were also very attentive and meticulous in explaining the use of slippers, hot bath facilities nearby. Shibu onsen is within walking distance but restaurants were limited and many not open for dinner during our stay on dec 8.
On departure day, hotel staff also patiently showed us bus timetable and bus stop location to go to shiga kogen.
Very friendly hosts. They speak very little English, but they did their best to make my stay comfortable. There is onsen public bath which is nice to relax after day of walking. I was even offered a free ride to snow monkey park! Hotel is a few minutes walk from Yudanaka station, which is very convenient if you want to visit monkey park or go to Nagano.
The owners are really nice, super friendly and helpful. They went to the Yudanaka station to pick us up and to drop us off.
The Ryokan is close to the restaurants and the onsens, so it's a small walk
The private outside onsen was amazing. It was cold and raining, so getting into the hot water felt even better
If you pay 1,000 JPY you can get a Japanese breafkast. Man, it was a huge breakfast, I couldn't eat it all.
You have free tea and coffee in the ryokan lobby
The traditional japanese room adapted to a family of 4
The kimonos
The heater in the room (it's quite chily at night)
The cleanliness
The key pass to access onsens nearby
The free shuttle from/to Yudanaka station and snow monkey park
The restaurant downstairs
The free wifi
The location near many restaurants
We went on December with a lot of snow. We appreciate the shuttle service from the Yudanaka station because the hôtel is quite far from the station.
Thé japanese room was really cosy and the food delicious.
Nice onsen too
Complimentary transportation between 1) Yudanaka Station and hotel; and 2) Snow Monkey Park and Hotel.
Hotel staff and proprietor are friendly and helpful. And they have both English & Mandarin speaking staff.
The breakfast and dinner are delicious.
The staffs are super helpful and friendly. They took initiatives to help out. They even drove me to the snow monkey park, Ryuoo ski park and Yudanaka station. I really appreciate for all their help :)
In addition, breakfast and dinner are delicious. The room is spacious. Bathroom and shower room is separated. Really enjoyed the outdoor hot spring. Everything is excellent and exceed my expectations. Will definitely stay in this hotel again.
