Only a 10-minute drive from Snow Monkey Park, Yudanaka Onsen Yamazakiya offers simple Japanese-style accommodations with free Wi-Fi. Akira and Yumi were exceptional hosts, super friendly and polite. The ryokan was even more beautiful than in the pictures. The private onsen was wonderful and we were able to go there whenever we wanted. The breakfast and dinner were delicious. Akira and Yumi were also able to cater for my multiple allergies which amazed me. Our room had a beautiful view overlooking the river. The sound of the white water was relaxing.

Minshuku Miyama offers Japanese-style accommodations with free Wi-Fi. Guests can relax in the public outdoor hot-spring baths and wear Japanese Yukata robes. It’s a traditional Japanese style. Very good to learn and experience Japanese culture and the hosts are very very nice and friendly. The onsen is so nice.

At Daymaruya Ryokan, guests can enjoy hot-spring baths and traditional Japanese-style accommodations with free wired internet access. Excellent stay in a traditional Ryokan. The couple running the hotel are absolutely fantastic, offering to drive us to the Monkey Park and collect/drop us off at the train station (a 15 minute walk away) and were very helpful in giving recommendations and informative leaflets about the area. There was a Onsen in the hotel that was private for the guests and the stay also included free use of all 14 public Onsens in the village. The room was enormous with a private toilet and fridge (no shower as this was within the Onsen space). We were worried about the comfort of the tatami mat beds but they were very comfortable. Air conditioning and heating both available in the room. Lovely choice of restaurants in the area and beautiful little village. Breakfast and dinner options available but we did not use this.

Great location, they collected us from the train station, and dropped us up to snow monkey park and collected us. Dropped us back to the train station when we were leaving

The room was very clean, the stuff was very friendly, the food was very delicious and the hot bath on the top floor was very nice to have.

Located in the centre of Shibu hot-spring area and a 5-minute drive from Yudanaka Train Station, Sakaeya offers Japanese-style accommodations. Very friendly staff, excellent Japanese dinner and breakfast, lots to do in the area (Snow Monkey park, Onsen tour), not crowded.

Japanese-style hotel Kokuya offers comfortable rooms that boast a private outdoor hot spring bath and free internet access. The hotel features 2 restaurants, a spa and spacious hot-spring baths. Everything! Top class food and service. I had a problem in that i slipped on wet wood outside on the balcony and slightly damaged a shoji. I compensated of course but the staff were so understanding! Highly recommend this place. It's bigger than it looks and you can get lost inside lol. Perfect location.
