Parking is limited. Hotel charged ¥1,500/day. Was directed nearby to park overnight as parking at hotel was full n i had to pay ¥1,100 the following morning. Parking for my 1st day was waved off as I paid parking elsewhere. Only paid a day on checkout.
My vehicle had all warning light illuminated even while driving. I asked reception staffs to help me contact my rental car help center. Hotel staffs was indeed exceptionally helpful to eventually get the rental office to change my vehicle. The whole process took 3 hours. Thank you again to the helpful staffs at Authent Hotel ,Otaru.

Best single room ever! The staff is very nice and always responds messages quickly ☺️ I have to say staff is one of my best memory in Japan. ありがとう❤️👍 He took me to otaru station and back to hotel. I was like VIP guest hahaha. Toilet and shower room are all very clean, and bed is comfortable. Highly recommend this mini hotel to all travellers.

Price is so good for this area.
There are many restaurants and family mart around this area. Walking to Otaru station by15 min or you can take bus from train station and walk 5 min.
Anyway, the hard thing is the walking way to the hotel is cover by snow in winter time. And you have to carry your luggages climb up on the stair with snow to the destination. This is the most hardest part but others thing is good.
The male staff who cheked us in was very welcoming and helpful. The staff in the Japanese restaurant also offered a very good service. Thank you.
Locationwise, it's just about a 7-10 minute walk to both the canal and Otaru station.
The hostel is located in a peaceful quiet community. If you want to escape from the city, it's definitely a good place to live. There are few bus routes that can access the hostel directly from Otaru station.
