We were issued tickets to use at the market. The market was close to the hotel and the food options were great. Other people need to understand that this area of Japan is primarily all about fish and many options of food dishes. I think the hotels map of the locations of the places to eat at the market should be a little clearer as to the exact location of the eateries, we were able to find them but it was not easy because there are a lot of places to eat, 17 in total. There were some fun places to see on our stay there. We enjoyed the quite laid back atmosphere on Hakodate.

The rooftop open-air communal bath offers a spectacular view. The location is also very convenient, with a morning market canteen nearby. The hotel provides dining vouchers for the canteen, which can be exchanged for one meal per person at any participating establishment. Each room does come with a washing machines cum drier. You can walk to the Kanemori red brick warehouse and there are many shops selling Hokkaido souvenirs.
Friendly, helpful staff, who, although we had a language barrier, did their absolute best to help us.

Location was excellent, a short walk from Hakodate Station, the morning market, and the harbour, and a leisurely stroll to Kanemori red brick warehouse and Motomachi historic district.
Our traditional Japanese room was lovely with exceptional views over the Kanemori Red Brick Warehouses and Mt Hakodate, with some views of the bay as well. Great onsen spa on the top floor. Comfortable bed.
