Mondello has a lot to offer anyone, from singles, young and old, families and retirees. We went in early May, so the weather was a bit on the cool side, but there was still plenty of people on the beach. The crowd size at that time of year was manageable. There are plenty of places to eat and we enjoyed good food. It is a very walkable area. It is not a far drive from Palermo City Center (average 30 -40 minutes depending on traffic).

We tried trattoria "L'angolo di Mondello Trattoria da Franco" on Piazza Mondello and "Alle Terrazze". The first one (Franco) is a family-driven local, traditional place, the second one is a first-class restaurant with a very high standard, with excellent panorama view.

Very friendly and hospitable host - Roberta. Fab breakfast, home baked cakes every morning with a huge choice of goodies incl eggs anyway you like i.e. poached, scrambled, omelet's etc. Quiet location but within a very short walk to the beach and a 10 minute walk to the centre ...
The room was lovely, very clean and spacious with a great balcony, the air-con was wonderful too ...

Beautiful scenery, close to Palermo, sandy beaches and few local restaurants. We were out of season so I am sure it's more buzzing during the summer. There was a great restaurant with fresh sea food just across the Art Hotel.

Mondello has all the capabilty to be a first-rate tourist destination: the sandy beach, the transparent clear water, the landscape, the old villas. I just can't understand why they can't keep the streets clean to match the natural environment. The rubbish almost ruins everything.

Mondello is a lovely little town with some good restaurants...
Mondello is a lovely little town with some good restaurants and a beautiful beach! It is only a 30 min bus ride away from Palermo and the busses are cheap and easy to navigate. It is not a party town, but was perfect for us as the beach was a 5 minute walk away as were many nice cafes and restaurants. We walked out to Capo Gallo, which was really beautiful and great to be able to jump into the ocean for a quick cooling down.
A welcoming host, a nice area with shops, cafes, fresh fish stations (you can choose the fish and it will be cooked on spot for you), a market - ask Silvia for a piece of advice and you will save the time for searching whatever you are looking for.
The distance from Mondello beach is 15 min walk.
There are frequent buses going to Palermo in case you decide to go sightseeing.
The facility is clean. The breakfasts are very delicious! We enjoyed various Italian pastries with coffee, an omelette or bruschettas on homemade bread.
Our hosts and their daughters are the most friendly and welcoming family you can imagine. We enjoyed our stay immensely. The place is even more beautiful than in the pictures. The private beach beautiful swimming pool in combination with only a 30 min electric scooter ride to Palermo we thought was the ultimate combination to both relax and enjoy the beautiful culture that Sicily Palermo has to offer. We plan to come back with our extended family this Spring. Highly recommend!
B&B casa chinaski is located in a calm street,surrounded by trees and flower bushes that provide shadow. the house is beautifully decorated, everything is made with love and passion, especially the home made breakfast is soo delicious! Mondello beach is accessible by foot and also the busses for Palermo centro. We didnt need to use the car. The rooms are very big and spacious and super clean. Beds are very big and super comfortable.
The location of the apartment is great; beach, stores, restaurants & nature park all at walking distance. The host was very helpful and responsive during our stay. We were there with two young kids in November with less opportunity to be outside, but the apartment is so spacious that the kids had plenty of room inside as well. Would love to visit again in summer and use the patio because it looks great.

The house is beautiful, with lovely views of the ocean, super clean and comfortable, delicious breakfast, walking distance from the beach, near restaurants, shops, city centre, and with the best hosts Silvana and Eugenio!

Villa Olimpia was stunning! We paid to park at the property on arrival and the rooms were well appointed with air conditioning, bottled water and comfortable and stylish furnishings. We liked being close to the beach, the bus stop and the harbor with all the restaurants. The extra fee for breakfast was worth it! Breakfast was delightful!
I had a great stay at Il Girasole - will definitely be my first choice for accomodation next time I'm in Mondello! The staff was incredibly nice, very proactive in making my stay as pleasant as possible, even going as far as washing my clothes and giving me an umbrella for the beach. Thanks so much!
WE loved going for dinner and coming back to have a dip in the pool - big hotels won't let you do that! It was wonderful having somewhere relaxing to stay so near to Palermo. The proprietors were amazing. Kind, helpful and fun. Breakfast was fabulous. The room too. Great stay.

Nice hotel with great facilities - kids enjoyed pingpong, basketball and of course the great pool. Good snorkeling just outside hotel. Walking distance to Mondello beach. Nice breakfast, great value and quality for lunch.
The beach will very close to the unit. Ton's places to eat. Most of all, the owners were super nice and very acomodating.
