A lot has changed from those Viking days, and Dublin is now famous for its literary history and the most green-spaces of any other European capital, making Dublin a real Irish gem.
Dublin Castle is at the heart of the city's history and Trinity College holds the renowned Book of Kells, a beautifully illustrated manuscript from circa 800 AD. The Ha’penny Bridge is the city’s most photographed landmark and the statue of Molly Malone celebrates the heroine of Dublin’s unofficial anthem.
Dublin is home to many important literary figures including Oscar Wilde, William Yeats, Samuel Beckett and George Bernard Shaw. As the famous location of James Joyce’s “Ulysses”, the city offers tours tracing the protagonist’s footsteps.
Being one of the most youthful European cities, Dublin has a vibrant nightlife scene with the popular Temple Bar area and plenty of bars and pubs, which invite you to stay out until the wee hours of the morning.

Wonderful city, and excellent for your honeymoon / couples trip, trip with friends. There are so many different sights to see and great places to eat. We visited and would highly recommend the following:
Pubs/restaurants: The Celt (offers great food and live music), The Merchants Arch (offers great food and live music), The Church Cafe & Bar, (such a great place, former church remade into a restaurant. Great food!), Leo Burdock (supertasty fish & chips), Joy of Cha (home-made pies).
Sightseeing: Jameson Whiskey Distillery, Guinness Storehouse, Book of Kells at Trinity College.

Dublin has the best entertained hop on hop off bus i had so far within my travels. There are some interesting msueums as well. Anything else in Dublin is doubtful. In particular at Bachelors Walk where the hoste i stayed is located, has an unpleasant mixture of open drugscene and beggar mafia. It is propably not recommendable to walk there coming back from the pub at late night. If Abbey Court would have washed the linnen of the beds always properly with a temperature minimum 60 degrees Celsius, they would not have catched bed bugs!!!!

It is not easy to get around Dublin, in or out, 35 minutes to travel 4.5 km in a taxi, we found it very dirty, and many places in the centre quite tacky, especially if you want to sit outside for a nice drink.
We have been there many years in the past visiting my Irish relatives, and were very disappointed this time to see how it has gone downhill.

Excellent traditional Irish music at the Cobblestone. Always my go-to. We found several great pubs and restaurants. I always visit the national museum of archaeology that has amazing exhibits of Irish gold.

We spent two days in Dublin which was just right for us to visit the sights we wanted to see. The Book of Kells Experience is a must for anyone who visits Dublin! And you are sure to find a museum (or two, or three) that piques your interest.
Dublin is a very easily walked city, with most of the sights found on the south side of the River Liffey.
The staff was very kind and helpful. They speak Spanish and varios languages and that makes easier the whole checkin and checkout. The room was big and comfortable, specially for us, a family of 4 adults. The breakfast was really good and it was a great to have a bar and a restaurant, all in the same place.
Another great thing was the location: Could not have been better. We were so close to all the pubs and main restaurants in the city and it was just minutes away for the meeting points of most tours in Ireland and Dublin.
Just got back from a trip to Dublin- the Morgan hotel exceeded my expectations; the staff were so friendly and accommodating, nothing was too much trouble. The room was lovely and clean, and the bed was very comfortable. Right in the city centre so an excellent location.
A special message to Nina who served us in the restaurant of the hotel- she is an absolute credit to the team, down to earth and made us feel so welcome! This is my third trip to Dublin and I will be booking the Morgan hotel when I return.
Location was perfect for city centre. Room was a good size, lovely and clean. House maids and all staff very friendly. I come to Ireland on a regular basis to meet family. I will definitely be staying here again. I stayed in a triple room with friends. They loved it too. My elderly parents also stayed in the hotel. They were very happy with the location and the facilities. I left some clothing behind. The hotel rang me and have kindly put them in the post.
Clean modern comfortable hotel, quite corporate focused as opposed to family orientated. We stayed here before going to the Aviva for an Ireland match and found it a convenient location 15 min walk from stadium and about the same to the city Centre. The Luas is close by on Mayor Street which is also a bonus.
Good breakfast, with plenty variety, staff helpful and friendly.
The staff was amazing and very welcoming. They gave us great suggestions for breakfast places nearby and were always ready to help out. The hotel is very close to a major shopping area and a 10 minute walk from Connolly Train Station which is helpful if you want to take public transit to other parts of Ireland. We walked everywhere in Dublin and it was great.
Overall nice hotel. A bit pricey but you are in the city. Right downtown within walking distance to most attractions. Restaurant had great food and service. Bar was also good with wonderful lounging area. Breakfast buffet was wonderful also. Was nice that they opened early @ 6:45am, We have come to notice that most of Ireland doesn't wake up until about 10am.
The room was lovely, spacious and very clean. The bed was super comfortable. The facilities were excellent and a good size TV. The location was excellent with shops and cafes around and the city centre within easy reach. The staff were friendly, helpful and accommodating. The price was reasonable for a fairly central hotel in Dublin.
The location was great. It was near a bus line and theatres too (if you have time for that). Breakfast was great with a big assortment. The hotel had character with it's windy halls and wood trim. We forgot the plugs for the UK/Ireland and they were available for sale in the lobby (coin machine).
It is a short taxi ride from the airport, located beside a Lidl supermarket if you need to pick up some food snacks at a great price, it is a really nice, modern hotel inside. Price is a little expensive, but that is that case with most hotels in ireland at the moment. Family friendly too.
Very nice hotel, friendly hosts! The room was clean and very comfortable. The price was very good for the type of room you get (especially when comparing to other places in Ireland we visited). Definetly recommended! Also good connection to the airport and 20 min walk to the city centre.
Location is absolutely great, the hotel is placed next to the famous and fabulous pub with the same name, very near to the city centre and literally two steps from all the other nice places in Dublin. The room was very clean and quiet and the staff was extremely helpful and kind.
Nice spacious room and bathroom, great shower. I liked the heavy courtains, hairdryer, iron and coffee set. It was night before an early flight, so would recommend as the Dublin Express bus to the airport is just 3 min away from the hotel. Walking distance to the city centre.
Iveagh Garden Hotel is in a great location - walking distance to St. Stephen's Green, Grafton Street, & Trinity College! Room was well-appointed & comfortable and staff was excellent! We had a wonderful experience at the hotel and excellent start to our travels in Ireland!
Fantastic room, amazing bath and shower, really nice breakfast , staff where so kind and helpful got complementary breakfast the best hotel I've stayed at in Ireland had the junior suite definitely worth the extra money especially for special occasions
The hotel was ideally located for our group to go watch the Ireland v Wales women play at the Rds stadium (Leinster ground) and short walk to plenty of local drinking and eating places ..also we thought the hotel was great value for money
Amiable staff, and highly comfortable room. The breakfast was lovely and the whole place was cosy and welcoming. I recommend it to anyone looking for a hotel in the newer areas of Dublin with good access to the city centre.
Sophisticated, beautifully furnished room. Perfect location in the centre of Dublin but very quiet. Excellent value for money compared to other hotels in the city centre. Two-course breakfast from a menu - very tasty.
Such a great start to our stay in Dublin and Ireland. Helpful employees, bright and well designed surroundings, comfortable bed, and we loved exploring the neighborhood, St. Stephen’s Green!
Went to Dublin exclusively to see the 2023 GAA All Ireland Hurling Championship Final @ Croke Park. Short walk to the match and trolley in other direction.
