The location was superb for walks along the river, to UCC and nearness to first-rate restaurants such as Market Lane. Front desk staff were friendly and helpful—and huge thanks for storing our luggage for a few hours until the room was ready

The Maldron is well situated in Cork, in walking distance of everything. It was our first time staying there, as we usually book a different hotel in that neighborhood. We reserved an executive king room for our three night stay. It was spacious and the bed was comfortable. It's a nice setup for a business stay with a desk and table/chairs. The room was quiet and nice view on the city, but there was an odd musty smell in the hallway and in the room, as if there had been water damage? With the window open, it was OK. The bathroom was spacious and modern with good water pressure in the shower. We took the breakfast two of the three days. It was a very decent buffet with good coffee and the manager of the breakfast room was efficient and polite, going out of his way to make sure everyone was looked after. Overall we had a nice stay and I would book the Maldron South Mall again when traveling for business.
