Hotel smelt of fresh flowers from the numerous floral displays and the roaring open fire in reception made it feel welcoming. Nice friendly staff. Large spacious bedroom over looking the river, a comfortable bed and furniture.
Great evening meal in the restaurant, super large portions and a nice atmosphere.

Great for exploring lots to look at and the OPW have signs telling what each room was used for you really have to look out for the place where they fished really interesting. (No spoilers ;-) ) Good for children to explore but you would need to keep close eye on them as it is quite big and some bits may be unstable.
