Location was good and the breakfast was terrific. Staff really worked hard to keep delivering full plates of warm food and everything topped up. We had an early start and even at 7am they were on top of things.

Beautiful and historic hotel in the centre of Zagreb. Room was a great size and I loved the art deco feel of the decor in the room, bathroom and throughout the hotel. Very comfortable bed. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Shame I was only able to stay one night due to an early flight.

A lift up a quite steep hill to the older, fortress part of town.
Getting on the funicular, the people managing your entry and egress are very helpful and happy to do so. Then, when wandering around the top of the hill, one can stumble across all sorts of local street art and crafts. There are beautiful buildings, churches and lots of other stuff to find unexpectedly interesting.. A couple of oddly good museums such as the "Museum of Torture" (charges a fortune for entry to the gift shop, let alone the 'museum' itself, & my favourite - the "Museum of Broken Relationships" which, is free to enter but harder to leave. (unlike the Hotel California, which one has to pay to just get into as well as impossible to leave! Funny and fun-filled break-up stuff from all around the world, where they have had recently exhibited. If you can't find anything to grab there, you must be a saint, or never had the pleasure of a break-up. Fairly accessible from the top or bottom for the less mobile of us. Though I am not sure 'whether 'mobility scooters may fit in the car, wheelies aren't a problem.
