You'll pay a premium for the food around the harbour, which isn't the best quality either. You are far better to go a little away from the harbour and explore some of the little alley ways, where you will find much better food at much lower prices.

The location near the Venetian harbour is perfect.Car parking is close by and easy to use.
We found it easy to walk everywhere in the old town and dined at the waterfront restaurants.
The apartment was absolutely beautiful, from the view, to the furnishings. Lots of love and attention to detail has gone into the whole place, and it's in prime position on the stunning venetian harbour of Rethymno.
We received complimentary food and wine on arrival, and as we left we received lovely souvenirs. Both wonderful gestures that went above and beyond our expectations. We will definitely be visiting Rethymno again and will 100% stay at Vista Del Porto on our return.
Phaedra Suites is an exceptional property. It is right at the heart of the Old Town of Rethymno, very close to shops, restaurants and landmarks such as the Venetian Fortezza, the Old Venetian Harbour and others. Our suite was very elegant with traditional touches and had all the necessary amenities.
The hostess is very welcoming, friendly and hospitable. She gave us recommendations on places to visit in Rethymno and she even provided a welcome drink.
Spacious modern but still charming room above a gorgeous family owned taverna in the quiet alley of the Old Town. Close to the Venetian harbour and a string of beaches, fun and funky bars and huge variety of stores with pretty hidden alleyways to explore.
Just like the booking pictures, perfect little gem (although my room was very large) and had two small balconies (french balconies), massive bed and bathroom. Perfect location in the heart of the old town/Venetian harbour. Near restaurants, cafes and shopping. Very welcoming staff. Had Cretan toiletries and sweets in the room. Couldn’t recommend more!
The position is fantastic with a balcony looking out over the Venetian harbour. Large-ish apartment with kitchenette (looked well supplied but didn't use). Steps up to Double bed and shower room, plus large bath in the sleeping area. Sofabed below, plus second shower room. Hot water good. Wifi good. Parking available close by in the port car park, which you have to pay for - for us it was about 12 euros for about 18 hours - but better than a long trundle with suitcases.
A wonderful location in the old town near the Fortezza and the old Venetian harbour, near a little supermarket, and lots of interesting shops and cafe's .
Rethymno is a lovely town.
The room itself had a balcony, a lovely view and tables and chairs to sit out. Thoughtful touch was a rug on each bed.
