Upon arrival, we were welcomed with open arms. Check-in is in the pub so they're performing double duty. The room was cozy and spacious. We ate dinner in the pub which was good. Lots of specials in addition to the regular menu items. Breakfast was included. Freshly squeezed orange juice and individual preferences were accommodated. Parking available in the premises. There is a public bus running every ten minutes to the center of York which was convenient if you didn't want to drive into town.
Just 10 minutes' travel by bus from York Railway Station, Ascot House is a 15-minute walk from York Minster. It offers award-winning breakfasts, elegant bedrooms, free WiFi, and free parking.

This gem of a place might be one of my favorites. The decor felt rich and stylish. I enjoyed sitting in the living area. The rooms were well appointed. The bed was super comfortable. I appreciated the ability to open my window for fresh air. The bathroom was clean and updated. Breakfast was included in our stay and was served in a darling dining room. The food was excellent and we wholly enjoyed our experience here! Want to come back!

The flat was perfect for my 5 days in York for a conference at the University. Beyond a very comfortable bed and good shower, I could make food and enjoy it in comfort and (excellent benefit) do laundry to be prepared for my onward journey. The hosts were gracious and helpful in all ways.
The property offers limited free off-street parking but also has free non restricted parking in the two adjacent streets and frequent bus services to the center pass the property regularly.
