The castle tour is rich with history.
The castle tour is rich with history. You will need to enter the castle grounds to watch the changing of the guard so make sure you leave enough time ahead of the event to get tickets and get over to the area where the guard change happens.

The day we went it was very overcrowded, very hot and we were rushed through the chapel, in one door out the other and were not allowed to stop to see anything because if we dared to stop we were told to move on, after travelling half way around the world and paying good money it was a terrible experience, eventually we left in anger and vowed never to return.

Lovely Castle. Shame the chappel was closed for the day. I think we should have been told that before booking as it is amazing and a good part of the castle visit. I would have the audio to go around and find out more about it. Cafe is very busy at lunch time so go early and get a table. Watch out for their umberella's they are expensive and don't work very well.

A nice place to visit.
A nice place to visit. I can't help to ponder as we walked through the streets seeing all the poverty around and yet the Queen and her minions have SO much wealth but seem unwilling to share. Sad.

Try the Windsor ice cream which is on sale near to the state rooms entrance, the salted caramel is one of the best I have had.
The staff inside the castle are very knowledgeable and approachable for questions and sharing their royal experiences.

On a hot day, don’t go at the busy times. We saw queues in 30deg heat 45 minutes before the doors open! Don’t be one of those. Do your homework and go when it is not so busy. The Castle deserves you to savour it.

It was a large spacious apartment. The location was brilliant. Walking distance to the city centre, Windsor Castle, the Long Walk, train station and very handy to a little supermarket across the road. Staff communication was 10/10. Apartment was clean & beds were comfortable. Would definitely recommend.
Instructions to access the penthouse apartment were sent before our stay. Everything was easy to understand and follow. Communication with host was excellent. The apartment was clean and comfortable. It is a few minutes walk to Windsor Castle and shops. Bus 703 from Heathrow let us off right in front of the apartment. We had a peaceful night's sleep.
Lovely apartment was well equipped very modern every and comfortable well located in easy reach of Windsor castle legoland etc. Quite noisy being virtually underneath Heathrow flight path but didn't really bother us to much.
The entire apartment is spacious, nicely design, with everything i want as a traveller. Parking location is just behind the building, perfect. Good location, petrol station and supermarket is close to the premises, you could even walk 15mins to the Windsor Castle.
This accommodation was in an excellent location with close proximity to Windsor, Windsor Castle and Eton. The Hotel had a lovely sitting and bar area and outside seating. There was a separate breakfast area. A lovely breakfast was included, and the staff were very welcoming every morning. There were welcoming drinks on arrival and reception staff were very helpful.
The hotel location was opposite Windsor Castle and ideal for our visit to the town, The room was very comfortable, clean and cosy. We had dinner one night and afternoon tea the next day and both were excellent. And the service throughout was personal but very professional, well done MacDonald Hotels

Room newly refurbished. Modern, clean, warm, and very comfortable . Large tv, kettle, toiletries hairdryer and iron and ironing board.

Met by the helpful and friendly host who arranged the parking, handed over the keys and showed us the apartment and facilities. The apartment was clean, spacious with lots of facilities for a self-catering stay, good Wi-Fi and a view of Windsor Castle, perfect for our stay. It was less than 5 mins away from Legoland which was our reason for the visit. Highly recommended for families or couples visiting Legoland / Windsor area. Less than 15 mins from the M4 motorway. Preferred to hotel stay.
Location was great - a very short walk into town, and equally a very short walk to the park outside Windsor Castle. Apartment was spotless and great for a short break with kids - a welcome change from hotel rooms!
