Our room was spacious and comfortable and breakfast was very nice. Most of the staff were lovely, though there appeared to be quite a few of them who were new and almost completely uninformed. The hotel itself is in a nice setting, and could be an extremely nice place to stay, sadly it is let down by terrible unprofessional management and a total disregard for its guests.

Carlisle Station Hotel, Sure Hotel Collection by BW, hotel in Carlisle

In the heart of the city centre, this elegant Victorian hotel offers stylish rooms with 32-inch Freeview flat-screen TVs and free WiFi. Carlisle Train Station is next to this property.

The rooms were very comfortable and clean. The staff really went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable and welcome. They helped us carry some of the more clunky items, remembered and inquired after the activities we were undertaking, gave us a different brand of tea than the ones they usually stock rooms with free of charge even though we offered to pay surplus if there was one. The location was absolutely perfect, next to the station but never had any problems with noise, as Carlisle isn't too busy. Everything in Carlisle you'd want to visit was still within walking distance, taxi bay was in front of the hotel. The bathrooms looked a little dated but were clean and perfectly functional. The bar was well stocked and offered loads of variety. They were refurbishing part of the lounge as we were staying there (never inconvenienced us though), so it'll only get better.

Staff were really nice, they couldnt do enough for you. Loved the fresh option of eggs. One of my sons didnt get up for breakfast and the lady gave me a container to take him some food. Beds were really comfy and rooms really big. Nice family/dag friendly pub straight across the road for drinks and food.
