Reception were incredibly helpful over the phone when we could not locate the parking for the hotel. Also a member of staff kindly came outside to help us with our bags when we were in a tearing hurry to change for Royal Ascot. Dinner that evening was absolutely delicious.

This unique residence is a modern reworking of the Great Western Hotel, built in 1844 and reputed to be the oldest surviving railway hotel in the world.

The team at Malmaison were really friendly and approachable, Very friendly with responses on queries I had prior to the stay. Room was really comfortable and spacey, which I would expect for the amount paid.

    The location was perfect as we were working at the Museum of English Rural Life which was a short walk away. The owner was easy to communicate with and she responded quickly to questions. The house was very clean and tidy and comfortable. It was also great to have a parking space.
