Worth planning to spend all day on the SVR.
Worth planning to spend all day on the SVR. The workshops at Bridgnorth are well worth a visit. By the time you've stopped off at a couple of stations to look around and wait for the next train, the day has gone surprisingly fast.

You can see the Severn Valley Railway out of the window, you literally sleep on the rails - a most welcome add-on to the experience. The room was very well equipped, plenty of hot water, comfortable bed and a very good, cooked breakfast. The host is very helpful and very welcoming. No worries about parking as you can find it in a very close proximity (1 min walk) even if the suggested Railway parking is already closed. Of course you can also get to Bewdley center in about 5 min walk so it's right in the center of the action here.
The Horn & Trumpet is situated in the heart of Bewdley. It's less than a 5-minute walk to Dog Lane car park and most businesses (shops, restaurants, Severn Valley Railway station, etc.) are only 5 to 10 minutes' walk away. My room was clean, comfortable, nicely styled and the wifi worked well. The staff were very friendly and welcoming.
The cottage is perfectly placed for access to and from the town, with just a short walk to the shops and not too far from the Severn Valley Railway station. Communication prior to our visit could not have been better, thank you!
fantastic riverside location and all facilities worked as expected. double bed was comfy and views out on to river beautiful, will stay again! perfect for Severn Valley Railway, 7 min walk there!
A very nice cottage, right next to the river in Bewdley, great for visiting the Severn Valley Railway and Bewdley itself. A well equipped and very cosy cottage, had everything that we needed for a three night stay. Would definitely stay there again. Really liked it
