Sarum College, hotel in Salisbury

Situated 100 metres from Salisbury Cathedral, Sarum College offers 2-star accommodation in Salisbury and has a garden.

We enjoyed being located in the historic Cathedral Close, which is still locked overnight (against the outside world!) Reception welcome was good, and we preferred the educational surroundings to the more usual commercial "frills". We were very happy to have no TV or radio - therefore spared endless politics. Breakfast - in a bright roomy refectory - was excellent, with one exception...

Dog friendly and a short walk to Salisbury Cathedral (about 20 minutes). I left my glasses and owner poster then to me. Thanks!

The host had given us very simple instructions on how to get to the property, it was so easy and stress free and the apartment was beautifully presented with personal touches. The host had bought some breakfast bits and snacks for us on arrival which was a god send as we were going straight to a wedding so didn’t have time to pop out and get our own bits from the supermarket. The location was perfect, walking distance to Salisbury cathedral and convenient parking for us near the apartment too. Would definitely recommend this place to stay!

Good breakfast buffet, clean, quiet hostel-type hotel. Just the old building (type boarding school - had been a convent) in the old Abbey court was worth seeing and staying in. The location could not have been better, stepping out of the door you had the salisbury Cathedral in front of you. Bed was comfortable to sleep, good shower (we had own bathroom), we even appreciated the lack of television.

This hotel exceeded my expectations on every level. Nice rooms, a location (across from Salisbury Cathedral!) that could not be matched in terms of convenience, and an incredibly great staff. Shout out to Sharon at reception who was amazing!

Rooms were spotless, beds were very comfortable, the Christmas decorations were gorgeous around the hotel, the staff were all so friendly and helpful, the free drink voucher on arrival was great, the four of us had some pink prosecco which was lovely, we drank these with the gorgeous view of salisbury cathedral, the breakfast in the morning was lovely, we were not rushed to leave the breakfast room, thoroughly enjoyed our stay for our friends 50th birthday.

Friendly, helpful and attentive staff. Excellent buffet breakfast choice. Spacious and relaxing grounds with lovely open view towards Salisbury cathedral. Complimentary drink coupon upon arrival was a nice touch. Convenient quiet location with a choice of 2 different pleasant routes to walk into the town centre. Alternatively there is a half hourly local public bus service to town whilst the hotel provides a free shuttle service in the evening.
