Anna and Robert were kind and attentive. Anna offered to dry out our wet coats and shoes in the boiler room. We were walking the Offa's Dyke path and got drenched that day, so this was very helpful. She made sure that we were happy and comfortable. She brought us a small bottle of milk for our tea and coffee.

Lovely vibe, the staff were genuinely very happy to be working there and helping customers any way they could. Lovely simple and modern decor, immaculate throughout, yet retaining a country pub feel. Couldn't wish for a better pub or b&b.
We were two vegetarians, booking late, asking for a table at the last minute and late for breakfast, but none of this was any trouble, and we were made to feel very welcome, had lots of meal choice and had a perfect stay.

Lovely stay once we had payed extra for an upgraded room.
Lovely stay once we had payed extra for an upgraded room. Do not be fooled into thinking you are getting the room with the four poster bed as shown in the booking photographs, the room we got was a simple room with divan bed, had to pay another £90 on top to get a better room.
The castle itself is stunning as are the grounds.l

Absolutely loved this place, wanted to book the woodland hot tubs for myself and my 7 year old son but luckily I phoned up first as he couldn't come in due to his age. Make sure age restrictions are looked up first before booking. The castle was stunning and thd grounds were clean. Loved the castle feel and the peacocks were great to be around

I love absolutely everything about staying at Ruthin Castle, the staff are really lovely and welcoming, the room was beautiful and full of character. We had some lunch and a three course meal which were both outstanding. 5* stay
Our entire stay at Ruthin Castle was very enjoyable. We were welcomed warmly and very quickly shown to our room and the rest of the necessary locations within the castle grounds. Our room was of a good size and was well appointed, with everything that we needed for our stay, albeit a small bathroom in comparison to the size of the room. We enjoyed the grounds of the castle and dinner in the Tavern was well done with friendly and professional staff. Breakfast was a simple affair, without any special offerings.
My wife and I came to Ruthin from Dublin to attend The Most Haunted Experience at Ruthin Castle and decided to spend the night beforehand at The Castle Hotel. The best way we can sum up our stay is to say, you can't go wrong staying here.
It was so well situated for our event at Ruthin Castle. The room was really nice, staff very helpful, and a very smart Wetherspoon's downstairs serving good food and drink. One bonus is that you are not pressured to get up early for breakfast before the 11am checkout like other hotels. It is served until noon, so we got a much needed lie in! This is a smart place to stay - not your average Wetherspoons by far.
We stayed one night on 14/10/23
Manorhaus is in a great location. We attended a wedding at Ruthin Castle. The castle is a 5 minute walk away so this was fantastic for us. The parking was brilliant. The long stay car park is literally 2 minutes walk away. The parking permit for free parking was also nice to have. Tea and coffee facilities in the room was really good and we appreciated the little extras in the room such as hair dryer, bathrobes, slippers and the shampoo and conditioner was of good quality.
Great little find. Such a good location, everything we needed within walking distance. Kitchen was also well equipped and even ice in the freezer. Would highly recommend to any couples looking for a quiet peaceful weekend. Walk around Ruthin Castle and the village its self also a must so much history in one little place.
The outdoor areas were a bonus and the views of the mountains were lovely.
The location - a very quiet and relaxing spot, but within walking distance of Ruthin castle, which was a great place to visit.
