    Book in advance.

Book in advance. Easy access is down the Thames by boat from Westminster Pier (book ahead). It's a fair hike up from the river or naval museum, with a stiff ascent at the end. You get a great view over Greenwich and London. When you have your breath, go all over the Observatory as it's very interesting history. Notice the other versions of line zero, in addition to the one everyone takes their photos straddling. We descended to a good late lunch at the Greenwich Tavern. You might have trouble fitting the Naval Museum and Observatory into one day unless you're a quick walker, so start early.
