Surprisingly good rooms above a pub setting. Spacious with good facilities. The lift was out of action at the time but staff member helpful and took me in staff lift. Liked the room, a bit quirky.

It was beautiful comfy and located so close to the office
With a leisure centre and stylish restaurant, Novotel Reading Centre is just 2 minutes’ walk from Reading Railway Station. The modern hotel has a 24-hour front desk and a cosy lounge bar.
Staff were very friendly couldn't do enough for us
I stayed for 1 night as I had to be at the Royal Berkshire Hospital early the next day (it’s just round the corner). I had little expectations as it was purely a bed for the night but I was pleasantly surprised. The hotel is very comfortable and accommodating. The 24 hour staff were friendly and helpful. Food was served in the bar but I chose to eat food I had brought with me in my room, which was a nice option. It was a good stay at a really affordable price. I would recommend.
