A very unique place to stay within easy access into Edinburgh with the tram.
The staff were exceptionally friendly, helpful and knowledgeable about the boat and the refurbishment. Nothing was any bother at all. The service from pre-check in to check out really was second to none.
Rooms were comfortable and didn't have any TVs which was actually a refreshing change. Plenty of plug sockets near the bed. Also very nice to see some Scottish toiletries from Arran Aromatics.
Breakfast was delicious (continental) and we used the lounge area in the evening to play Uno with a few refreshments.

The two restaurants (Broc Bar and Stables) were really lovely with great food - both the dinners and breakfasts we had were amazing and couldn’t be faulted. The outdoor courtyard area was also lovely to enjoy a cocktail in when the sun was shining. The decor inside the hotel was beautiful. Staff couldn’t have been more friendly and attentive - it really was excellent service and attention to detail throughout. Also loved the turn-down service and leaving bag of water/flapjacks.

We had a lovely stay! Our room was comfy, clean and had an excellent view onto Muirfield Golf Course. The staff were very friendly and professional. The breakfast and service was great, I would highly recommend this hotel.

Lovely historic country house hotel next to Muirfield. Stunning rooms, with roaring fires. Staff couldnt do enough with an excellent breakfast also. Defintely return soon.
The location is perfect for any of the golf courses there; we only played Muirfield but we'd definitely come back to play the others. The rooms were easily big enough for a few nights stay and were warm and comfortable and the showers were good. The breakfast in the morning was great and there were plenty of options. When we arrived we had a warm welcome and after we got back after a meal and some beers, Heather was happy to sit down and listen to us talk a load of nonsense for a few hours.
The hotel is in a very quiet location overlooking Muirfield Golf course in Gullane. It's only a 20 minute walk to the beach or to shops and another couple of restaurants.
Great food in the restaurant and excellent breakfasts.
We had a large room with a nice bathroom.
All in all a great stay.
