Her husband Tom gave us great suggestions on where to go and eat. We wished we had more time to try everything on his list!

It was an amazing experience to stay at Straven Guesthouse. I felt at home, the bed was very comfortable and the room was beautiful and warm. Breakfast was a whole variety of delicious dishes, home made and beautiful. The sea front is only a few steps away and I enjoyed walking along the sea promenade to the cafés - and walking along the sea shore. I felt looked after and cared for by Sinead and Chris. Outstanding House. Spotlessly clean and nicely decorated., your cleaning team are fabulous. Lovely and spacious. Great location. Free private Parking. Really quiet location. Great communication and contact ability Keycode so all in the party can come and go freely. 15 minutes by car from the Airport or the city centre, prefer to stay in a house like this to guarantee safety and a good quiet night than staying in the centre with all the noise and drunk people. Location was easy acess and very quiet! Rooms were basic, everything you need for a trip: bed, private bathrooms, hot showers, quietness away from the bustling city centre and enjoyable coffee and tea
Secluded location, quiet but with beautiful scenery. Jazelle was a great host who couldnt do enough for us. Not too far from Edinburgh but quiet enough to be out of the hustle and noise of a city centre.
This was undeniably the perfect stay. Firstly, beautiful and charming house in a nice residential area not far from Edinburgh city centre (only a 15 minute bus ride or a 40 minute walk), super clean and quiet room, very comfy bed and modern bathroom with all the necessities. Secondly, breakfast was delicious, freshly cooked every morning by the owner. Last but not least, Kingsley Guest house is run by a very friendly family who made me feel at home as soon as I stepped inside. Highly recommended.
Great location, the city center was reachable on foot (walking took about 25 minutes). Fantastic dorm service, staff have always been extremely helpful and friendly. It's a dormitory, so you can't expect luxury, but we had a clean, comfortable room, access to the kitchen and a private bathroom. I heartily recommend.
We took 6 bed rooms apartment, which means each one of us had a private double room. Many towels (as full capacity is 12 people). Rooms are clean and tidy. Reception are kind and welcoming. 15 minutes of easy walking to city center. Quiet area and a canal to run, walk or bike 50 meters from the property. Taxi to airport are cheap. Definitely will consider to come again next time in this lovely city!
Individual boutique hotel in an interesting historic building with lots of traditional features- felt like you were in Edinburgh. The suite was really big and comfy with a fab roll top bath. Great location as tucked away in a quiet street but a short walk to the city centre.
