The most difficult review I have done. This hotel has been refurbished to a decent standard. The staff are friendly and accommodating. The sea view room we were allocated was refurbished with a good size bathroom and good shower. The television was on the side wall making it difficult to see from the bed but you saw the view, I think maybe they had changed the position of the bed in the update.
Breakfast was as normal for this level of hotel, fresh fruit, yoghurt, cooked breakfast provided in Bain Marie. The coffee was weak for a cafeteria which seemed strange as it was so large.
This spacious, family-run Edwardian hotel dates back to 1901 and offers free WiFi and free parking on site. It is situated in Folkestone, close to the M20 motorway.
The room was clean and comfortable. Friendly staff.

Fab location, lovely room, and super friendly staff
This charming hotel is conveniently located within walking distance of Folkestone harbour, making it an ideal choice for those seeking seaside adventures. The hotel is pet-friendly, with an additional supplement of £20 for furry companions. While guests can enjoy the welcoming atmosphere of the hotel's bar downstairs, it's unfortunate that dogs are not permitted in that area
Great location, lovely bed, sea view and staff very friendly. Lovely walk along the promenade to Folkestone Harbour. We were getting Le Tunnel the next day so staying at Folkestone removes all the stress of the journey down. Didn't eat there at night but breakfast was spot on.
Excellent location, overlooking Folkestone Harbour. Great views of the Railway viaduct, and the renovated railway station.
Only had one meal, that was really good fish & chips. Beer was also good. Very friendly staff.
All the rooms are in the process of being decorated, so the decorater told me !
I booked a single basic room but hotel upgraded me to a premier room overlooking the harbour.
Amazing view of sunrise over the white cliffs of Dover.
The cabaret in the bar area was excellent very good George Micheal tribute singer and comedian!
Would recommend asking for room with a view of Folkestone harbour.
Good location for Folkestone Harbour and town. Easy walks along the Leas pathways looking out to sea.
Our room was immaculate with a comfy bed and side sea view.
Staff very helpful
Good breakfast
The apartment is very high quality located close to the sea front. It is very comfortable and warm and peaceful. It is a short walk to the Cliff path which is a nature walk into Folkestone Harbour. It’s a lovely walk along and recommended. There is car parking at the property which is great.
It is a very cosy place and we were sad to leave.
