In general it exceeded my expectations. Neat old hotel with its own charm. Staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfasts were decent (I assume they are the same every day though, so might get stale after a while).
Located right outside of Derby train station, very convenient. Perfect location for Download Festival attendees :)

It was nice and central. Very close to the station but tucked away that it didn't feel like it was by a main station as sometimes they can feel a bit dodgy

Interesting and lovely building. Exquisite grounds
This is the third time i stay at this hotel. it is just off the Derby Train Station and near to the conference venue. It is very convenient for traveller.
The reception and bar areas seem renovated since my last stay at the same time last year. On the whole the hotel is clean and nicely kept.
The room is spacious and in a quiet location as i have requested, but this room is not wheelchair accessible.
We ate at a nearby restaurant in the evening. The food is good.
