On arrival staff were very friendly, showed us around the hotel and too our room. They offered a complimentary glass of Prosecco and a non alcoholic alternative for myself who’s pregnant. They also left a happy birthday card in the bedroom for us. Room was beautiful we had the double room with the hot tub on the balcony room was so clean and the hot tub was amazing the views we had from the hot tub were breath taken.Bed was so comfortable. The spa was beautiful so relaxing and great having a spa bar as well. Location is great 5/10 minuet walk into a little town with pubs restaurant and amusements. For food we went to the “pub” which is within the hotel and food was nice.Worth every penny and will be booking again.

Lovely quiet hotel, friendly staff with nice views towards the lake. Lots of restaurants/bars in the village. Car park has four EV charger points which was great. Breakfast was one of the best we’ve ever had and we stay in a lot of hotels! The complimentary hot drinks and scones with clotted cream each days was a really nice surprise. Also liked we could order in pizza from the nearby restaurant delivered to our room after a busy day if we didn’t want to go out. Would recommend and thanks very much for the hospitality:)

Fells Surrounding Coniston Water
The fells around Coniston – one of England’s largest lakes – scramble over a craggy face of hillside, offering a workout for you and your four-legged friend. Start in the village and pass Church Beck waterfall to be immersed into greenery and climb your way further up the fells. After reaching Low Water, there’s a steep climb to be tackled, before you’re awarded with spectacular views of hills.

The location. Close to Coniston Water and a few minutes drive to Windermere. Bed was very comfortable. Unfortunately the weather was very bad so couldn't avail of the hot tub. Food at the Hotel was very very nice and reasonably priced.
Loved the location, the centuries old Inn and the hosts. Continental breakfast was wonderful and Julie couldn't have been more accommodating and friendly. A quiet nook in south Coniston water, away from the maddening crowds elsewhere.
A 14th century structure, full of character.
Room was spacious and very clean, same goes for the bathroom. Location is sort of right in the centre of Lake District. A pretty little village away from the main towns(and tourists:)
Windermere and Ambleside 35-40 mins drive. Same for Rydal fall and Rydal cave. Aira force waterfall is about an hour away. Coniston waterfall is 20 mins drive. So overall a pretty decent location.
The cosy room with ensuite- lovely scented toiletries, beautiful garden and view, peaceful, friendly staff, generous continental buffer breakfast, and good location for visiting places in and around Coniston Waters. Thankyou for having us!
Location was great, peaceful, amazing views, really close to Coniston water, there was nice place where to eat apposite the road at Wilson arms. Generally enjoyed our stay there, definitely would be coming back again 😊
