Hotel rooms are in a separate block across the car park from the pub so no noise from the restaurant and is on a very busy road but we didn’t hear any traffic noise at all so we had a great night’s sleep. Room was clean with a good layout and bed was very comfortable. You can open the window which you can’t always do in hotel rooms. Decent shower over the bath with plenty of hot water. Good size car park so plenty of parking spaces. We didn’t have breakfast at the pub but we had our evening meal there and chose the midweek two courses for £16.75 meal option and the food was very good. Check out is not till 11am which is really good and is quick and easy, you just simply drop your key card into a box as you leave the building

This historic country inn has delicious food and luxury rooms. It is within a few km of the famous Celtic Manor Resort, home of the 2010 Ryder Cup. The Old Barn Inn dates back to the early 1750s.
As always staff excellent and rooms comfy and clean

The location of the Inn was great for us.
It was good value for money but would have liked a bedroom upstairs with a better view of Chepstow Castle. I would good there again
Found the place, ncp right next door ! Bonuscas pouring with rain ! Pub was full bing a Friday afternoon. Booking in stress free and taken to room. Proper older wordle with separate full bathroom proper old school. All centuries old wood and stone panelling, really quirky which we both love. View of Chepstow Castle from garden. Definitely worth a stay as Chepstow Town lots if bespoke shops etc and Racecourse 10 mins by vehicle.
We stayed 3 nights at the Loft. It is a superb apartment, clean and spacious, and perfectly located to explore the Forest of Dean and the Wye Valley (including attractions like Chepstow Castle and Tintern Abbey) as they are only a short drive away. Although we did not meet our hosts personally, communication with them by e-mail was easy and they were really helpful. The biscuits, tea, and coffee were a nice welcome touch.
Self catering - ample milk, tea and coffee etc. provided. I used the fridge to store my own food which I cooked for one meal.
Dishwasher and washing machine also provided.
Tea and coffee facility in bedrooms.
Great communication from host, I felt very well looked after.
Easy walking distance to all of the attractions of Chepstow (except racecourse!) But the River Wye, Chepstow castle, railway station and central Chepstow are all within a few minutes walk.
Have booked a return visit.
Dave, the owner told us about attractions in Chepstow,,which were Chepstow Castle, Tintern Abbey and the Bridge. The meals were great. Lively place. Great atmosphere.
Lovely staff. I was able to check in way before the original check in time. Room a decent size with a view of the beautiful Chepstow Castle. This hotel is in my favourite location in Chepstow. Breakfast is fabulous. Great quality ingredients.
