The Falstaff in Canterbury, hotel in Canterbury

Just meters from Canterbury’s medieval West Gate, this charming building dates back to 1403.

The staff was amazing and so helpful. I had all my bridal party staying at the hotel and they went above and beyond. The breakfast was amazing (continental buffet -pastries were so yummy- and a nice selection of cooked breakfast on top). The location is great (4mn walk from Canterbury West and 3mn walk from the old city/city centre). The rooms are so comfy (bath in the bathroom and beds are the comfiest I've slept in, in a while)

Cathedral Gate, hotel in Canterbury

Dating back to 1438, the historic Cathedral Gate is in the heart of Canterbury.

A fantastic interesting hotel in the centre of the walled city , our room was on the top floor at the back with a four post bed looking out on to the Cathedral. Extremely friendly helpful staff advised on restaurants and places to visit…. I believe the building was built in the 1400’s so some of the floors aren’t quite flat…..

Location is great with a 24/7 car park a few minutes walk away, as is the cathedral. I enjoyed the breakfast which, the 3 days we were there, offered crumpets. Yum! The rest wast plentiful, nothing really to complain about.

Canterbury Cathedral Lodge, hotel in Canterbury

In the private and peaceful grounds of Canterbury Cathedral, this stylish lodge offers free Wi-Fi, hearty breakfasts and scenic views. Canterbury’s historic centre is a 2-minute walk away.

Hands down some of the most helpful staff I've ever come across. Fair warning, it's apparently a frequent occurrence for any manner of GPS to drop you in the middle of the very narrow one-way streets of Canterbury. Absolutely nowhere near the actual entrance to the hotel. When I called the staff The kindest employee actually stayed on the phone with me the entire way and was able to describe clearly and succinctly the exact turns I had to take in order to get out of the Labyrinth of narrow downtown, the streets and to the gatehouse to enter the cathedral grounds. Very well done and very appreciated. Upon arrival, it was an absolutely lovely stay. The price was perfect and included such a lovely breakfast and view of the cathedral footsteps away from the window.
