Yes, smaller shops in the lovely old Victorian arcades, in Cardiff Bay, and also streets such as Albany Road away from centre, (but you'd have to take a bus to those and know where you were going)
There are so many restaurants and food outlets, we ate in ed's for breakfast the best banana and peanut milkshake ever and we had dinner at the bayside brasserie, in cardiff bay. Absolutely lovely, great tasting quality food and service.
