Good location within walking distance of train station. Honesty Bar and outside seating very much appreciated. A breath of fresh air to be trusted! Shower perfect. Staff second to none. I suffer from claustrophobia and the room first allocated was around too many twists and turns, around corners, up and down stairs with no windows anywhere. I asked for a room close to the exit which was immediately sorted with no fuss whatsoever by a very understanding young lady. Greatly appreciated by me.

Fantastic location. Excellent customer care from reception staff. Breakfast - had to ask several times for things - was bought coffee when I ordered tea, 3 staff had to search for gluten free cereal when I had twice advised the day before I required gluten free due to intolerance - supervisor was great though and got it sorted. Comfy, quiet and super clean hotel. Would use again as location is perfect

Excellent! Staff were excellent, welcoming and knowledgeable about the area, taking time to explain where everything was and giving tips on best places to eat.
Location was perfect for our event at Cardiff Castle and proximity to town.
Room was great value, twin double beds and everything you need for short stay.
100% will stay again.
Very friendly, helpful staff. The room was upgraded free of charge without us asking.
For us the location could not have been better
as we were attending a concert in Cardiff Castle. It was also close to the railway station.
It had all the amenities with a kitchen. It was close to the train station, shopping etc. Everything was in walking distance. Cardiff Castle just around the corner. Very clean & tidy. Big screen TV with Netflix. Very comfortable couch. Shower east to use with good pressure & hot water.
Perfect location for Cardiff if you do sightseeing - Cardiff Castle just 5 minute walk away. The streets around have many restaurants and pubs. The staff was extremely nice, friendly and helpful. The room is clean, with spacious bed (actually it's 2 beds sticked together, but you don't notice it much) and nice interior. Shower room was quite spacious and the pressure of water was nice and strong.
the property close to the centre , about 10 mins walk away from Cardiff Castle.
Was clean and spacious full of all necessary utensils/ utilities. Tea Coffee facility and biscuits were a nice addition upon arrival
The carpark space was available upon request for a small extra fee, want to add that it was organised for us on short notice as we decided to rent a car. Owners were easily contactable and had prompt response time.
I like the fact that the facilities are modern, the room is very clean and the location is great. It is closed to the train station, Cardiff castle, and quite a walking distance to the train station or bus terminal that commutes to the Cardiff bay.
We love the Maltsters. We've stayed here now roughly 8 times over the last decade, and it never disappoints. The staff, the rooms, the beautiful location and the food are all exceptional.
It's about 2 miles from Cardiff centre, however, the walk through Llandaf fields and Sofia gardens which brings you out at Cardiff Castle.
This time we actually spent some time walking around Llandaf itself which is stunning with a beautiful cathedral with a lot of history.
Would fully recommend, see you again soon Maltsters ❤️
Very good self service breakfast, with a good choice of cereals, yogurt, fruit and pastries. Good bus links for the city to visit Cardiff Castle and the town centre and Mermaid Quay. This avoids city centre parking charges.

I love going around the Castles in Cardiff, Castle Coch is beautiful and unique in design and location, whilst Cardiff Castle in the centre of the city is truly amazing, with the architecture both interior and exterior breath-taking and brings to life how people lived then

Cardiff Castle is a conglomerate of several monuments - the roman portion is under excavation
Cardiff Castle is a conglomerate of several monuments - the roman portion is under excavation. the castle itself on the motte (hill) was nicely restored, the House, done in gothic fantasy was well restored and over the top with gaudy detail. Didn't go into the clock tower, that too was gaudy. Glad I went, it is a landmark.
